Good for you. Where are you going in Mexico? I went to Monterrey. It was wonderful. The Drs. were great. They came and checked on me everyday. The flight home was not bad. Get an extender from the flight attendent. Check before you go about where you are going to get a fill. I have to drive 5 hours because no one here will tough me because I had surgery out of the country.

I am not ashamed at all about getting the lapband. In fact I am very proud of myself it took guts to go Mexico and do what I did. I just feel it is my business what I do with my body. I know how people can be so negitive. That is why I have chosen to keep it to myself. Looks like you are doing great. Congrats.

Hi, I'm a Leelee too. And I graduated in 1977! Get that! Congradutations! I have not told anyone either. I am not really a private person but in this case I am. I feel it is my business. I also know that when someone looses weight people say, wow, she has lost weight. And then some one else will say ya, she had that surgery. Then they say I thought she had that surgery?? Should she have lost more weight than that? She doesn't look like she has lost very much. Believe me I have heard it all. That is what happens when you own a salon. You are doing great keep it up.

Nope, I had to be on full liquids for 2 weeks. The next 2 weeks were pureed, mushies. After that I went on real food. I don't think it was how much could get down. It was because of the healing process. Remember liquids will go right through the band. They told me no limit on liquids. Be careful you do not want to hurt your tummy.

I don't thnk it matters where you get your surgery. What matters is the Dr. that you choose. You have every right to ask how many surgersy he has done. Did I read you live in Dallas? Dr. Roberto Rumbaut is in Monterrey Mexico which is pretty close to you. He is one of the very best. He has done more lapband surgeries than any other Dr. in all of the americas.

Get rid of him there is someone out there that will love you for who you are. Sounds like you have wasted 4yrs. Don't waste another minute!

I am a hairstylist and I also teach cosmetology. You need to get at least 80 grams of protien in so that you will not loose your hair. I have seen this with a few of my clients. I will tell you in the spring some people seem to loose a lot of hair. Almost like an animal loosing it winter pelt. And some people seem to loose a lot of hair in the fall. I am one of those people. Another thing you can do is massage your head really well for at least 5 mins every day. That will bring the blood flow to your scalp and the papilla which is the mother of your hair bulb. Will be able to feed better.
