  1. I had the lap band surgery done just before I turned 17 and have had it for 2 and a half years. I found that after first getting it I could still eat the food I like just not as much of it and was dropping weight pretty fast. I notices I had to be a little more careful right after getting adjustments but apart from that I could still eat a healthy amount of food and feel no pain. The issue came when I got 2 cubic centimeters put in when I already had about 7 in so it was a big change and I couldn't eat for a few days so I drained my band and kept it empty until I started feeling better. I had an adjustment put in and after 6 months I still wasn't able to adjust to it so I had my band drained again. It's been a few months and I'm still getting sick, feeling pain, and not losing weight. I get pain in my upper back and it's started in my port now too. It would be easy to go to my doctor but I got it done when I was living in the middle east and now live in Canada. A lot of doctors won't see me because they didn't preform the surgery and it's hard to go a day without regretting getting the surgery. If any one has any suggestions I would be so thankful!
