    I have a collar bone

How exciting!! You look terrific! I am new to this site today. I had the surgery on January 14, 2008. I feel like I am at a stand still. I have weighed the same since January 27. Did you ever experience that? I am somewhat discouraged!
  5. I had my surgery on January 14, 2008. When I had my initial consultation I weighed 304 lbs. At surgery date I weighed 284. Now I weigh 264. I have weighed 264 since January 27. I know that sounds great and all but I have been at a stand still since January 27. I had my first fill on February 16, 2008. I can eat what I think is too much. I can eat a chicken thigh, some carrots, and probably could still eat more. I am frusterated that it isn't working. Can anyone tell me if they have had this similar experience and do you have any advice? Did anyone else think it wasn't working the way everyone says it should? When will I lose more? I can not exercise very often. I work a whole lot of hours. I try and get some exercise when I can. I do not want to eat so much to be full I want to only be able to eat a small amount. It seems like even though it was miserable right before surgery because I stcuk to the diet and felt starving all the time, I feel like I was doing better then. Any advice out there? Did you ever stay stuck in the same place so long? Age 39.5 Surgery date: January 14, 2008:sad: Dr. Krahn

    Angry of lack of motivation

Hi, the funny thing is I did change before the surgery. I had it on January 14, 2008. I lost about 20 pounds before the surgery by going on a protein powder shake diet. Then after the surgery I could only eat a 1/4 cup of broth and that felt great to be full after that little bit. You see, that is what I thought the surgey would be like. But now that it is the beginging of March, I think I am eating too much. I have had my first fill and I can still eat 2 chicken thighs and some cooked carrots and then I feel full. I have not lost anymore weight since January 27. I have lost 40 pounds all together. I was excited at my first fill because I lost 6 inches around my butt and thighs but had not lost any weight. weird. I guess I am trying to say- If you can, drink a protien powder shake for breakfast, one for lunch and then a palm sized piece of protein with some kind of green leafy vegetable like broccoli or spinich. That is what my surgeon put me on. I ate more than a palm size and I ate a big bowl of broccoli with squirt butter. Mean while, I did have my "last" meals-lasagna, chinese buffet etc. But pretty much stuck to the diet. mostly. You can do it. You are just thinking that after you won't be able to have those foods but in reality you will be able to eat those foods just not as much of it. I still have to figure out why I can eat so much. I will tell the surgeon next time I go in. I hope I have helped some. You do not have to be so hard on yourself. Just remember God is in charge and you can always rely on Him.

    Leak in port

I had my surgery on January 14, 2008. I had lost a good amount of weight before and right after. A total of 4o pounds. Now I cannot lose any more. Very frusterating. I think this would be good for me to maintain but the fill they gave me seemed to do nothing. What should I do? I feel like I can eat too much. I can eat 2 chicken thighs and some cooked carrots at one sitting until I feel full. I don't know if this is normal for after the first fill. Do you think mine has a leak too?
