When are you going to stop losing weight?

My husband is already trying to limit my weight loss and is obsessing about my losing to much. For my height i can literally weigh 88lbs-124lbs. I have a heavy type bone structure. Not bird like at all. When i was 18 i weighed 104 and you could see my clavicle. So I know i am never going go win. Either people will say I am too heavy or too thin. Just how it is. I have wide hips so for a reward I am going to even out my bottom half with some a new tatas. Lol. And then i know I am going to get even more negativity. Find the balance that works for you. But most of all love your inner self and focus on feeding your soul. We aren't just about weight loss after the surgery. Although I fear that is an obsession I am going to have. Eye opener

Today i was at bariatric doc and saw some other Patients that were very sick. One could barely walk and the other was on oxygen and in a wheelchair. I thank God every day this is happening before I got sick to. I really feel for those people and the tough journey they are facing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Just told me MIL

I understand I have only told two people. My husband and a friend who has serious health problems due to weight. But no one else. I am also getting a hernia repair so I am telling everyone that is why i am having surgery. Its sad but I know the people in my life including my best friend would drag me down. Hope you find the right support for you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Help for my husband

Yes he def needs to up his nutrition. But free weights can help a lot. Does he have a weight bench? Maybe that would motivate him. Also as a counselor going on and off depression meds can really mess with your brain and cause major depression Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Liquid diet

Already on this preop diet I feel like my stomach puffiness is down. I do feel weak but I am finally getting used to no solids. I can't really eat stuff with artificial sugars because it kills my system. So my options are limited. Any body else on pre op liquid Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    No goal weight.

I am resisting setting any type of goal weight. I started below two hundred because I am only 4'10. My BMI was 40-42. Well everyone keeps wanting me to focus on a goal weight and I just don't think for me this will be healthy. I want to focus on a new life, more energy, better wardrobe and working out. I feel like if i get stuck on numbers I will get into an unhealthy spiral. I have seen many people obsess about the scale and are not happy. Either wanting their weigh loss to never stop and get undernourished or feeling defeated because they didn't make it. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  25. I am so lucky. I called the bariatric office and left initial message. They called me back next day and told me exactly what to do. And this whole process from 1st call to surgery has been less than 3 months. The hospital bariatric ward is so in depth. I got tons of preop testing and they personally walked me to the ultrasound, xray, bllood gas, blood work, and ekg. I never had to wonder around from the moment i walked in the door.loved it.
