Its hard to hear from other people, and in the end it is totally your choice. I used to get so upset but after having the surgery last week and having some issues i get why they are worried. It has been a very eye opening event in my life and My loved ones have been pretty stressed as well. My poor husband has had to deal with so much. So I now understand. I too had a choice and wanted the RNY because of fear I would need all the help I could get. My surgeon really wanted me to do sleeve since I had no immediate issues such as diabetes. After research i felt sleeve was safer, and since they remove the stomach they get rid of hunger hormones. I am now 6 days out and I have no hunger. I also can't imagine having more things to worry about such as malnourishment ect. I mean this is major surgery. I ended up having extreme vertigo from reaction to anesthesia. For me there was so many things that could go wrong with RNY and I was very worried about looking older and having saggy skin. Some people have so many other health concerns the faster weightloss with RNY is better but i felt a slow steady weight loss was healthier for my body and skin. With the laparoscopic and the hole for my tube drainage i have five holes in me. Is it ok to shower. Hole for tube is pretty open, but not bleeding. This is my 4th day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I love my doctors but his receptionists are rude and short so I hate calling them. They never have the answers to even the smallest questions. Such as how long do I wear this wrap thingy. Feeling pretty horrible today. Im getting down my first premier shake but super weak and still have vertigo. When I stand up I stumble. I have not had narcotics but one time. Woke up very dizzy with vertigo. Drank a few sips of diet gatorade and a few sips of Protein in coffee drink. Full instantly. Heart seems to be palpitating a lot. My chest is red and so is my face. Heavily flushed. Wonder if i am getting dehydrated Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
