What's your favorite Quest Protein Powder flavor?
Jdserra posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm gonna try this out here soon...which flavor do you suggest I try first? -
And here I thought it was freezing over here in California at 67 degrees hehehe!

The gas pains were worse than both my C-sections combined! Lol. But the healing was a breeze. Side note...I only had gas pains the first night in the hospital. Get past the first night and you'll be fine.

Sleep Issues and Thyroid Medication
Jdserra replied to Treadmillwalker's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm 7 weeks out and requested to have blood work done since I've lost 35 lbs. I knew it would need to be changed. I was on two Levothyroxine pills (1-200mg and 1-25mg= 225mg a day). My labs came back high...doctor wants me on 200mg only. Which is fine but I think my weight loss will slow a bit. I'm ok with it. -
Yes as long as it's Zero for both. It's counted towards water intake

anyone sleeve in san bernardino ca?
Jdserra replied to veronica89's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I wasn't fond of him. I felt like cattle just being pushed through. Don't get me wrong, he's very professional and great at what he does but not at all personable. Every question I asked him his response was "refer to your binder I gave you". I have my follow up today with his assistant (I'm 6 weeks post op). I've spoke to her on the phone and has a very lengthy conversation with her. She was very patient and answered all my questions. I'm glad to hear you had a much better experience than I did! ???? -
Looking for mentors.....my surgery was on 10/24/16

Do you have a lot to lose? It will probably catch up here soon and start dropping off fast. I'm only 6 weeks out and have had 2 stalls. One lasted a week and the other two weeks. You might be having a long stall. -
I was almost in the same boat as you. I have a 9 month old and an 8 yr old both born through C-section. My Kaiser doctor had me restricted for 3 weeks nothing over 10 pounds. Sadly even with my husband home that was impossible. But I did do my best to have him do most of the lifting (exp: out of the bath tub, out of the crib). It doesn't hurt to lift BUT the restrictions are in place so you do tear and cause a leak. Now I will say the night I was in the hospital I got some sharp gas pains. Lasted about 2 min and way worse than the C-Sections!!! Thank god it was only 2 minutes!! Lol!

Kaiser Oregon - Not Covered?
Jdserra replied to saoirse16's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hmmm that's odd...out here in CA it's covered as long as your primary refers you and you meet all the medical criteria. -
PatchMD Vitamin Patches
Jdserra replied to VSG_Brandnewkindame's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can buy them off the store here. I use the multi and the Vit D patches. I stick them on my chest under my bra. They stay on good in that spot. I take gummy B12 that I bought from the drug store. -
Kaiser California covers weight loss surgery?
Jdserra replied to SweetyShetty1988's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Yes Kaiser covers it ...you just pay your hospital stay deductible . You will need to go through a 12-week options program. meets once a week for about a little less than 2 hours. You learn a lot at these classes so don't think of it as a bothersome. I did my classes through the Fontana location and had my surgery in Redlands. Good luck to you! -
If you freezed it then yes it kind of clumps up. But refrigerated it should not.

What did you wish you knew pre-surgery/sleeve life?
Jdserra replied to Ashley Wright's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Me to the tee!!! vitamin patches are a MUST have! Along with genpro which was a huge lifesaver for me the first few weeks post op to get all my protein in. I loved broth on my pre op diet but a minute after surgery I couldn't even look at it. Lol. I do miss being able to eat a full meal but Being 21lbs lighter just three weeks post op is a hell of a lot better! Oh an sugar free popsicles..GET STOCKED UP! Good luck on your journey -

Jdserra replied to Thincredible's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm down 21 pounds. I stalled for a week so I put the scale away. I'm just going to weigh in once a week. It's ok tho. I'm not discouraged. I was 235 day of surgery. On 214 now. What about you? -

Hi! I was also sleeved on the 24th! I find a lot of healthier alternatives on Pinterest. ???? -
Not sure where you are finding them cheaper on EBay??? The cheapest ones I saw on there were $14.88 plus $2 S/H. I bought mine off of this site for $17 plus I get free auto shipping. So I'll never forget to reorder them. Just more convenient for me.

Patches work great for me.
-
I ordered them from this site. Took about a week to get. I have it on auto full every two months. Gives me a little discount. I got like 10% off for first time buy. If you go through this link I believe you'll get 20% off your purchase. http://rwrd.io/grgm500

For those that are on the Vitamin Patches where do you find the best success placing them? I've been putting them on my lower back but within a few hours they've gone missing [emoji16] Lol.

I was only three days clear and went into full for two weeks. There's no way in hell I could do 4 weeks. I'd shoot myself!
