    Who Are You?

Hi Christina! I'm in Warren. Going thru Royal Oak Beaumont/Dr. Krause.
  2. He is super nice Kelly, I'm sure you will like him. All the girls I'm the office are great too. Especially Sue. She is my favorite! I pm'd you in fb, ck you others folder!
  3. Hi everyone! I'm still pretty new to this site. I love reading about everyones WLS journey! My name is Donna. I live in Michigan. I was banded in 2008, had a slippage/repair in 2013, and am now in the process of meeting the requirements for 6 months of appointments to have the band removed and revision to the sleeve. (Should have an August surgery date) While at my first appointment, the Dr. at the Beaumont Weight Control Center said that there is a higher success rate for band to bypass, than band to sleeve patients. I do not feel comfortable about the idea of having a bypass. Please share your band to sleeve success stories with me. I gained all but 10# back from my 55# loss with the band, currently at 250/5'6 tall. Thank you!
  4. @CowgirlJane.... I'm still getting used to this site. How to I check our your photos?
  5. Good for you!! Please keep us posted!!
  6. Wow!!! That is fantastic! You really are an inspiration. I can not wait for my revision.
  7. I got you beat! I'll be 43 on March 8th and waiting for my surgery date in March! I'm going through Doc Krause at RO Beaumont. Want a support buddy? What a great birthday gift to yourself Kelly!
  8. Yay! That is fantastic Kelly! Are you doing a revision from the band too?
  9. I'd love to be part of the fb group too! What are the privacy settings for it? I just don't want all of my fb friends and family to see me as a member of the group as I haven't decided if I am going to tell any of them about my plans.
  10. That is great! When we're you sleeved?
  11. Hi there. I was banded in Oct. 2008, had a slippage/repair in August 2013, and am now looking for a sleeve conversion. I lost about 50# with the band over the last 7yrs (lost, gained back, lost again.... you know the routine). I have gained all but 13# back. Today was the first appointment with my surgeons office to get the process started. They unfilled my band and said I have to do the 6 months of appointments/supervision before I can set my date. I go for a. Upper GI tomorrow to check for another possible slippage as I have been having horrendous reflux issues. Today, my BMI was at 40. I do not have co-morbidities to do the 35 BMI approval. My concern is that with ANY weight loss in the next 6 months will put me under the 40. Does the insurance approval go by my starting BMI of 40, that I am today, or whatever I end up with if I lose weight at the end of the 6 months?
  12. 32 lbs?!?! That is fantastic!! Good for you!

    Wow, getting excited

I had a Dr appt with my surgeons office yesterday too, and they told me to just concentrate on maintaining my current weight so I don't fall below the 40 BMI. My surgery won't be until August sometime. I originally thought it was going to be June or July, but my first "consult" with my surgeons office doesnt get counted toward the 6 month wait. )
