Where did you get yours. I'm in GTA, Canada. I can't find any nice ones. Lauren's hope has nice ones but they are in the states and will ship here. Anyone buy from them and ship to Canada. Did you have to pay customs etc. How much? Any other places that sell them? TIA

I have a head cold, sore throat and cough. What medications are best for me to take? sugar free, no NSAIDs? I am taking a cough syrup right now that is sugar free and "safe for diabetics" but it's not doing much for the head cold. Tia Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Tofu when cooked is it a soft food?
kayelly posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 6 weeks out tomorrow and I just made tofu cause it is on the list of Proteins that are high in Protein. Then I started thinking maybe it's not soft food. Can anyone answer this question? Also, it says 1/4 cup of tofu as a serving of protein. How do I measure that in grams or ounces? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
I started soft food stage today and in my book it says eat slowly but not specifically one bite every 5 min like I was doing on puréed food. So am I still supposed to set an alarm for 5 min. Between each bite? Tia Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm a bit confused about Water intake.....I know I'm supposed to sip water all day except half an hour before and after eating. My question is do I take a drink once every 5 min like the way I do with my food or just continually sip? I'm trying to understand if I can only do like 5-6 tbs in 30-45 min of food how does it not stretch the pouch if you put more water in it by sipping constantly? I am only getting a litre of water in at this point. 16 days post op. Any advice is appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@spdmonkeymama I was told to sip throughout the day. But I wasn't sure if I should be following "food rules" one tbs every 5 minutes or if it was okay to sip whenever. I am afraid of stretching the pouch? Don't even know if it is possible with liquids. I will be having post op next week and will ask to confirm. I'm 3 weeks post op tomorrow. I'm noticing that when I go for my 30 minute walk I am out of breath, especially when I try and talk to my husband at the same time. Also notice it when doing chores around the house. Is this normal? As I wasn't out of breath walking before the surgery. 16 days post op. Tia for all responses! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Went to ER last night and happy to say no blood clots. Phew. Dr. thinks it's just from having the surgery and is not concerned. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I bought the GENEPRO. I'm 2 weeks post op and using it to supplement. I'm drinking premier Protein shake, eating cottage cheese and Greek yogurt to get protein as well. I'm not sure if it's a scam as I have read both sides. How can you tell who is telling the truth. I will ask dietician at my one month post op appointment. But I figure at this point as long as it's giving me some extra protein and doesn't have too much taste it's better than nothing. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
