Thursday will be 4 weeks post op for me. I must say that I never felt weak. The biggest problem I have is that I forget to eat because I am never hungry. Also, I never feel full so I stick to the 4 oz of soup (cream of or tomato). Hang in there, we are all in this together and you have a very large support system here on the forum.

I am going to have to have to try Stevia. I was going to use Splenda but from what I just looked up, Stevia looks like a better alternative.

Call the nutritionist and ask them. They will be able to tell you for sure.

Tips for hospital and first week recovery?
Redmaxx replied to Alexis99's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My recovery was easy as well. I would recommend taking a pillow with you if you ride in a car just in case you hit bumps. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -

233 lbs. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
My surgeon said that because my diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure, acid reflux and high cholesterol that it was a no brainer to recommend RNY surgery. I became a kangaroo (with my pouch) on 20 October 2016. Everything is going great and I do not regret having the RNY.

Question for those with office type jobs
Redmaxx replied to RJrocks's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
My surgeon made me take two weeks off (because I wasn't "supposed" to drive). I was able to telework for those two weeks and yesterday was my first day back in the office. I have a lift restriction or 10 lbs or less. I have been lifting more that that but I am careful not to over do it. -
Everything went well today. I did figure out that I need to bring some walking shoes to work because my work shoes are not for walking. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I was on Paxil prior to my surgery. I am off the Paxil and feel a lot happier. I do sometimes (for unknown reasons) start to cry when talking to people. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Redmaxx replied to choosehope's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am a 49 YO (I will be 50 in February 2017) kangaroo (I have a pouch). My RNY surgery was 20 October 2016. Not much pain and I am on soft foods. Today is my first day back to work since my surgery. -
My question is to the members that have upgraded to VIP Membership, is it worth it? I would like to see the VIP Membership given to every member for like 30 days so that we can drive it around and kick the tires.
