    What happens in psychotherapy visit

Well first they strap you to a table and put electrodes on your body. Then they give you a small 50,000 volt shock. LOL. Just kidding. All they do is ask you questions. It is very easy and simple. Be honest with them and don't give them any additional information unless they ask. Mine took less than 20 minutes and I filled out the questioner while si waiting room.

    Discouraged [emoji20]

Hopefully it ends soon. I had an eight week stall. It sucks and is no fun.
  3. Sorry to hear that you are not having an easy time. Luckily I haven't had anything that disagrees with the ole pouch. I haven't been sick in a few weeks (thank goodness). I hope it passes soon for you.
  4. So the feeling of hunger has come back (I think I am happy about that) however I haven't felt full. To be fair, I only eat how much I think I should eat. I got sick early on in my post op recovery food stages and I am so afraid that I am going to over eat and get sick again.

    I'm confused

I would call them and ask the questions. I am not sure why they did it backwards.
  7. I really enjoy attending my monthly WLS Support Group. It is the 4th Tuesday of the month at the hospital. I find it comforting to be able to talk to a nutritionist and listen to others who have been through the same surgery as me. It is almost like being on this forum except I can speak to them one on one if I need too.
  8. Are you talking pre surgery lab work?

    Appetite changes

The food texture thing is so true. I wish it wasn't but for me it is.
  10. I had to uninstall MFP from my phone. I was having issues with it and it was just easy for me to get rid of it. I really didn't use it like I should have.

    Waiting still waiting

When I hit my stall, weighing myself every day was driving me crazy. Up two pounds, down one pound, up one pound, down 2 pounds, etc. I have decided to weigh myself only on Monday mornings. No ore than that. Don't get obsessed with the scale. It can be your friend or it can be your enemy.

    Regrets and hormonal

I am 14 weeks post op and I went through the emotional stuff around 7 days out. It passed quickly. I could be talking to someone about the weather and start to cry for no reason. I also had the anger from HELL phase. I am so happy that I am over it.

    Steak

Yep. My wife and I have gone to Texas Road House and Long Horn Steak House. I can only have a little bit of the steak but I have no issues with it. I haven't had anything yet that has bothered me. I am almost 14 weeks post op.

    Just crossed 100lbs lost

    Congratulations!
  15. Looks like my 12 week stall is over. I am so happy.
  16. My circle has not changed due to the surgery. I feel that my friends don't feel that I have not changed other than the fact that I have shrunk in size.

    Stall Over

Thank you. I also went from a BMI of obese to a BMI of overweight.

    Sleeve vs bypass

I would be looking at a different surgeon. My BMI was lower than yours and my surgeon actually recommended RNY.

    Starting to look older

I though I looked older as well, but everyone else said I looked younger. I just didn't see it. Now I think I look the same. Also, I couldn't see the weight falling off from me until I was a photo of the old me next to a photo of the old me.

    Days spent in hospital

I am 49 (will be 50 on 15 Feb) and spent two days in the hospital. I probably could have left after a day but there was an issue with the leak test and I had to do it two days in a row.
  22. After my initial meeting with the surgeon I had to get blood work done, Gall Bladder ultrasound, EKG, Upper Endoscopy, a chest x-ray, talk to a head shrinker, get my PCP to sign off on the surgery and get documentation together to send to the insurance company stating that I was in a six month medically supervised weight loss program. Luckily, I was in the VA telemove program so the six month documentation was easy to get.
  23. I have over the ear hearing aids that I got from the VA ( many years on the flight line). They are over the ear and into the ear canal type. My question is this, would weight loss make them not fit correctly anymore?
  24. Thanks. I am having to push the larger dome into my ear canal just so I can hear. It is starting to get really uncomfortable. It is also getting frustrating that when I chew it moves around and I can't hear.
