Good luck and we will see you on the Loser's Bench very soon.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it works out for you. My daughter bought me the Bariatric Foodie Guide To The Perfect Protein shake for Christmas. It has some great recipes n it. It makes them much more enjoyable to drink.

WHAT? Warm? Oh to be warm. LOL. I had never heard of this red light therapy before. I must research it now.

Have you discussed this with your surgeon or your nutritionist?

My birthday is April 29th. I am thinking of it as a birthday present to myself! A happier and healthier me!! Let me know when you get scheduled! That is a great attitude to have and a fantastic present to yourself.

You're welcome. Don't forget, we are all in this together. We are a WLS family.
-
Congratulations of starting over. I know it will help you in the long run. I would love to help "mentor" you but seeing as I am only 14 weeks post op I really don't know if I would be able to help .

How do you cut them off? Isn't it painful?

Not wanting to sound dumb or anything, but have you tried to find some sort of hobby? I model N scale trains and when I am working on them it takes my mind off from wanting to eat. Also, I put all my supplies on the other side of the basement so that I get up and walk to get what I need. Sure it is inconvenient but it forces me to get up and walk. Every step helps.

Feeling Ho Hum about surgery
Redmaxx replied to Karazona's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You know what? I was that way prior to my surgery. hard to go on the reduced calorie diet and then the dreaded "LIQUID" diet. After surgery it will get a little worse but then as you are able to eat more it gets better. You will look back on the experience and thing, "It wasn't really all that bad." Try to keep a positive attitude and just remember that your WLS family is always here to help you. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you on the "Loser's Bench" very soon. -
Have you gone through your pre-surgery class with your surgeon yet? When I did mine they gave out a book that told what types of vitamins and supplements that I am required to take. Some, like for gall stones only need to be taken for 3 month, others like multivitamins, calcium citrate and iron need to be taken daily (or multiple times daily) for the rest of your life.

When can I start smoking again?
Redmaxx replied to FrankLucena's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am sure nobody will have an official answer for you. It is like asking when can I drink pop (soda) or when can I start eating a whole chocolate cake again. Like you said, you are a grown man. Do what you want to. -
Congratulations on the 11 pound weight loss. If and when you hit a stall try not to get discouraged.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your weight loss.

All I can say is that you have to take the reviews with a grain of salt. People will give bad reviews for things that are beyond the person being reviewed's control. Such as, the person doesn't think they lost weight fast enough, or the surgeon couldn't do the surgery due to the patient's health or physical issues. Go with who your friend's recommend. That is what I did and I am completely satisfied.

Congratulations! You look great. I am hoping that my diabetes and sleep apnea will be gone at my 6 month check up.

Congratulations! When you wake up from the surgery we will have a place for you on the loser's bench.

Waiting to see if insurance approves
Redmaxx replied to Mallory95's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My BCBS FEP covered the surgery. I think I paid a total of $100 out of pocket. -
I don't think it will hold you up at all.
