When did you stop taking medication for High Blood Pressure?
barcelona37 replied to FamilyGuyNJ's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
After surgery The surgeon took me off Amlodipine and halved my Losartan dose. At my 1 week post op appointment he said i should be able to go off that too in a couple months. I also stopped Metformin for diabetes right after surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Does anyone regret surgery

I've heard that the tired, "look of death" appearance goes away after a few months. I'm only a few days post op, but I was already able to stop taking my diabetes meds and I take only half a dose of 1 of my previous 2 meds for high blood pressure. So no regrets for me! I'm only 3 days post op. I know it's normal to go home from the hospital heavier because of all the iv fluids I received in the hospital. Im up 7 lbs and just wonder how long it takes to show a loss. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm over whey Protein shakes myself. I've started using plain soy Protein Powder with soy milk and 2 tbs of PB2. On Amazon, I buy Bulk supplements Pure Soy Isolate Protein Powder. I also learned about GENEPRO unflavored protein supplement on this site. I ordered it but haven't gotten it yet. You can add it to anything and it isn't supposed to alter flavor or texture too much. @@vegbeth I buy everything from Amazon, so that's good. I was wondering, as a vegan, once you can have regular foods, what will you eat to get your 60-80g protein? Maybe continue with protein drinks?
-
@@vegbeth I'm going to look for these as all the whey and milk products are bothering my stomach.
-
@@vegbeth, Are you vegetarian? If you are, what protein powder do you use?
-
@@vegbeth Yay! Congratulations! I hope the nausea subsides soon.

@@vegbeth, did you surgery yet? I know it was going to be this week. How are you and how did it go?? My surgery is a week from today.
