  1. first off, congratulations on that 43 pounds of stress that is gone!!! I was thinking of seeing a therapist here at school- I know talking to people can help, and if it's working for you I'll give it a shot. -Ariannuhh❤️
  2. Five 5 post op, and I know that I am not getting anywhere near the recommended amount of Protein I need. I need all of you fabulous people to help me out; * what are you schedules when it comes to Protein shakes? *what do you use? Mix with? * good flavors? Bad? Thanks Guys ❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I know I enjoy my typical sweets of Cookies, cake, ice and things in between. Are there any foods out there that act as a substitute that we can actually eat? -Ariannuhh❤️
  4. That you all for your words of comfort and wisdom. Me being the person I am, I usually OVERTHINK things and worry a lot- it's always been a flaw for me. Today is a better day and I am actually in a great mood. Today I had a shake and I guess that's the reason I'm feeling better- 32g in just over an hour. -Ariannuhh❤️
  5. As you burn fat- your body is releasing all of the hormones stored in that fat - making you extremely emotional, depressed, etc. It's like PMS on super steroids! Get enough Water, Protein and take walks - you'll get past this! If it gets bad - talk to your Dr about it - you may need a short term antidepressant. You've got this!!!Thank you, I will do that: once I return to college I will take a few walks, we have many walking trails so I will definitely do that -Ariannuhh❤️
  6. Arrived at 5:00am Got my room around 5:10 Dressed, IV in around 5:30 Had a nap 7:30 came and got me 7:45 met surgeon, anesthesiologist & the rest of the team 7:59 got nervous (had to pee) 8:15 into surgery Remember nothing after that , but I know it was really still early when I got out. Maybe 45 minutes. -Ariannuhh❤️
  7. So today (10/23) I am going back to college. I've been out for a week and I go back to classes Monday. I'll admit MWF are my long days beginning at 8am until 6pm, I'm a little nervous about being warn out, sitting for too long, blood clots and the normal things you tend to worry about.... Tuesday's and Thursday are my short days so I am not to worried about keeping up. Thursday I also have a 3 hour night class so I'm especially nervous about sitting all those hours. I'm also nervous about the different reactions and comments I'll be getting from people ... I have an apartment with 3 other people and one of them is my good friend so she already knows about the whole Surgery and things... the other two girls are more or less might be problematic. One girl completely has the fridge taken over and now with my new dietary needs some of her food is going to have to go.... I'm really worried about going back.... does anyone think it's too soon for me to return??? I feel like I didn't have enough time to get back on my feet..... 8. Sounds like a plan. I will surely email her in the morning, as well as the dean of students. We have a 3 day policy before your financial aid comes into play -Ariannuhh❤️
  9. Throwing up was the WORST for me. It was a few hours after surgery, my stomach was already sore and tight, throwing up made it so much worse, but it was a relief as I did it, if that makes sense.... also the quick sharp pain that you get when you've siped too FAST -Ariannuhh❤️

    Post op pain meds

I stayed in the hospital since Thursday (surgery was this Monday) and I had the self controlled medication button & I used it twice. The first day it was ALOT of pain, and I slept from the meds the nursing gave me. As the days progress my pain slowly went from a 10,7,5,2 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Sleeved yesterday 10/21/16

Congratulations!! Welcome home to the family! I promise you, it was tough my first day too. It will become better as time goes on....WALKING is a major key. Go a few steps the first time, the next go farther, then go half way down the hall, then you'll be taking laps around that hospital. I know the pain is ALOT, and it will get better!! The hardest part is over- you made it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. I had my surgery Monday, and I ended up staying in the hospital until Thursday. I threw up non stop, they tried several different medications, and even placed a patch behind my ear. It was the worst thing ever. Water, SF popsicles all made me sick and I threw that up, I started walking, the gas pains started to go away by midnight of Tuesday, the vomiting stoped and I started to eat the popsicles and eventually started drinking more and more. It wasn't the best 4 days there, but it does get better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
