Ok, let's not jump on this person. First of all my cousin had sleeve surgery in Las Vegas by Dr Umbagh also. She is 4 years and lost every pound she wanted to loose and has not gained any back. She had a great experience with him and his team. Forget about what happened because that is not going to change things going forward. Concentrate on the future and make some changes to get back on track. Science says that if you eat less than 1200 calories then your body will use your fat for fuel. That is a fact. I would recommend going back to basics. Start back on shakes and make sure you are getting 80 to 100 grams of Protein. Keep your net carbs under 50 for the entire day. Cut out all sugars if you can. You most likely went through a stall when you stopped loosing weight the first time. This is completely normal, the body is going to adjust. Stop eating all of that crap food. Just get back to basics and I promise you will get back on track. Good luck with your journey. Stay positive. It will be worth it in the end. Hard work takes time so stay with it. That feeling of the lump in your throat is most likely it being a little swollen from having the tube inserted down it. Chew ice chips and it should go away within a couple of days. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Help with protein powder choices?
CedarMan replied to Shauny85's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Isopure liquid doesn't taste so bad but it is very CHALKY and kinda leaves your mouth dry. I'm telling you nectar is the best. chocolate tastes just like drinking chocolate milk. I'm 6 weeks post op and can eat anything now and I am still drinking 2 to 3 NECTAR shakes a day. Easy way to get my Protein, I mix 2 scoops with 8 ounces of Water and that gives me 48 grams of protein. Hope this helps. Good luck!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App -

Surgeries in Tijuana Mexico
CedarMan replied to MsMyste's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Myself, my wife and my brother in law all had surgery in Juarez, Mexico in the last two months. We went through a company called BeLite Weight. The experience was awesome and I would recommend anyone to go there if you are doing Cash Pay. We all had Dr Jose Rodriguez and his team do our surgeries. He has done over 11000 procedures over his career. He is one of the original Dr's to perform the sleeve surgery even before it was approved in the US. The complication rate is less than 1% for this surgery. You will do just fine if you decide to go to Mexico. Good luck on your Journey. Here's to a healthy you!!!!! All surgeons typically do 5 incisions. Some will do 4 depending on the patient. Hope that helps you. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Ice in the blender with my protein powder
CedarMan replied to Crafty-in-Carolina's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi there, noticed your post. I am 5 weeks post op. The 2 week post op diet from my doctor was Clear Liquids only for that time period. Milk is not considered a clear liquid. Not sure what your diet consists of but I thought I would chime in. Good luck on your journey. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App -
Help with protein powder choices?
CedarMan replied to Shauny85's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Hi there, I was sleeved on Sept. 9th and I am down 31lbs from day of surgery. I did a lot of research on Protein and came up with what I believe is the best choice. I use two different brands. These are what they refer to as medical grade protein which means they are triple filtered. 1. nectar is great but limited on flavors. 2. Isopure is also great. Both have high protein per scoop. Hope this helps you out. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App -
