    September Sleevers!

    I was sleeved September 6, 2016 I'm going on 9 weeks out and am down 40 lbs since surgery. For any of you that don't know about www.insurenutrition.com this company contacts your insurance co to see if you qualify to have your Premier Protein shakes, scar and stretch mark cream covered.     Don't know if this helps or if you already know but www.insurenutrition.com will contact your insurance co to see if you qualify for your premier Protein shakes, scar and stretch mark cream to be covered. My insurance covered it and that a savings of $100.00 a month just on shakes. Just make sure you don't have a cap on prescriptions. Hope this helps and congrats on this wonderful journey.     Quick - Help!

    Halloween fever

    While I was at Walmart picking up candy for trick or treaters I picked up some sugar free jolly ranchers and Peanut Butter cups by Russell Stover and they are really good. I still don't eat much being 2 months post op 11/1 but for something once in a while this will work...1 peanut butter cup 80 calories 6 grams of fat 0 sugar 8 carbs 2 Proteins.     Will I be broken forever?

    I agree it does get better, you have to build up to your fluids and Protein..give it a chance, take a breath and let it work. When you start seeing the results you'll feel better about it.     Too much Constipation

    I try and take magnesium citrate couple gulps a day or every other day. (make sure your Dr. Is ok w/ this) it definitely helps but I feel your pain Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  14. The only things I didn't like was my mouth was really,really dry and I felt like I did a hundred sit ups...not bad for the surgery I went through...I have no regrets...it was so worth it Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Time off

  18. Take a capsule of Biotin for your hair and open it up into some unsweetened apple sauce (as long as it's okay w/ Dr.) I take it everyday w/out fail and my hair is thicker than ever Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Realistic water intake

    You can't get it all in right off the bat it will take some time. Try your hardest though to get it and your protein/vitamins in. Should be your first priority Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  20. Water, Protein and Vitamins should be the most important thing you do everyday and adding in exercise. Make sure you're adding Biotin for your hair. I hear so many people talk about losing hair, I can honestly say my hair is thicker than ever and I'm really on purpose will all my vitamins, water and protein Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  22. I think premier protein shakes has the highest grams of protein at 30 grams. Also, I think Atkins has more sugar in it Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    SEPTEMBER SLEEVERS!

    I had my surgery September 6, 2016 and I can only eat about 3-4 bites and then I'm done...I can drink Water and premier Protein drinks pretty easily. I'm down 35 pounds since surgery and 48 since pre op so I think I'm doing something right...good luck to everyone.
