Hi all, I am wondering is there is any medical information/proved research online that states taking Actigal or any other medication for 6 month post-op will prevent or reduce your chances of developing gall stones due to rapid weight loss. Thank you!

Today, my journey begins. I'm getting sleeved on Oct 31st. And now it's sinking in... will I regret this decision.. I ask myself.

Quitting smoking was not a requirement for my surgeon to do the sleeve, but I'm trying my hardest since I had to quit for 36 hours in the hospital. Last night I was about to peel my own skin off. It is HARD. Most people gain weight when they quit because they eat more to compensate, we don't even have that option!Ask your doctor about chantix. I might. I know it can take a couple of weeks to kick in though and NOW is the hard time. If possible I'd really rather just quit (easier said than done). I have made it FIVE DAYS though which is longer than I ever have without Patches or e cigs or anything. I'm hoping if I can get through the first week it'll ease up a little. Chantix is a miracle in a pill. You will forget what a cigarette is. It's very effective for individuals who want to defeat their nicotine addiction and it works very fast.

I'm glad you are doing well. What size bougie did your DR use?

Thank you for sharing. I also have chronic back pain, had one back surgery and need to loose half my weight b4 having another one. How long after your WLS did u start taking Motrin 800 mg 3 times a day? Did you have VSG or bypass?
