  1. I still have to force myself to eat. Often it is bedtime and I have only had 500 calories, I have to eat another meal before bed!My carbs and calories are so low that I really don't worry about counting them. I know I am getting about 500 to 600 Cal a day if I am lucky, and very low carbs because they literally make me sick. And as far as BM, I know the feeling, I am in the same boat, I bought laxatives to help because it is that bad. I have fiber supplements too! I was told to take Metamucil too. I, too have to force myself to eat still. That is the only problem I have ever had. I have never been one to overeat. I have to verify with the surgeon that I was doing the right thing! 2. I am still not able to eat much on most days. But I was sleeved on October 21, 2016. I am 5'3", weighed 257lbs before surgery and now weigh 211lbs. Excited to keep losing! Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

    nausea and feeling ill

Could be just the carbs. I can't handle them well either and I am 3.5 months out. I know this was posted a day. Did you get it figured out? Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

    Motivation or lack there of

I try to do stuff at home beings I can't afford the gym or anything like that. I did my pilates this morning and plan on doing my treadmill later Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

    Motivation or lack there of

I have my treadmill due to not being able to be out in the cold. (I am allergic to the cold <---- true story). I need to do more than just walk I just have been losing motivation. I am usually highly self motivated too Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  6. I was so nervous. It will get easier. I got all the books I could and looked at all the before and after pictures I could to show myself why I was getting the surgery done besides all my health problems. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App Yeah I love looking at the before and after pictures, definitely gives me motivation, and I'm not so much nervous of the procedure as I am about pain, and life after. Eating isn't a problem, but just actually losing the weight, I've pretty much always been overweight/obese my whole life, so it's a little scary to actually have something like WLS and have it work long term and get more than 30lbs off lol. At the same time its really exciting, guess it's a roller coaster of emotions lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I was pretty slender most of my life till I got into high school and after. That's when I started gaining weight. In high school I was 120lbs if I was lucky. So I am excited for later. I didn't have a problem with the pain at all, but I have a VERY high pain tolerance. They had me hooked up to fentonal but I didn't use it at all. I only used toradol for the swelling. And when I was discharged I didn't use anything. When I had my c section almost 6 years ago the only thing I used was ibuprofen was for swelling and that was it. So I am not sure how your pain tolerance is. But hopefully it is easy for you. I was only in the hospital for 1 night. went home the next day after surgery. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App Yeah I have a moderately high tolerance for pain, I guess it's just the unknown of how it's going to feel is what gets to me, but hopefully I won't be on meds after the hospital stay guess we'll see. Thanks for the support! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Is that by choice or is that what the surgeon told you? They sent me home with liquid percocet. when did you start exercising. I am 6 days out, I know I need to start off slow but wasn't sure how long to wait Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App My surgeon did not want us working out before two months. We could walk but nothing intense and I think weights are even longer to reduce the risk of hernia. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App It's usually up to the surgeon. But usually it is about 6 weeks. But you still want to build up to it. Obviously you don't want to start out doing anything strenuous, especially after surgery! You are doing well. Be consistent with the exercise and be mindful of the calorie intake and all will be well. Measure, track, evaluate, adjust activity accordingly. In short, weigh daily and take appropriate action. I am barely at 500 calories if I am lucky for my intake. I have lost 41lbs in 3 months. I started at 257lbs. And I am 5'3". Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App Wow 500 calories? That's not nearly enough at 3 months. I'm surprised your weight hasn't stalled out yet. If it happens, definitely up your calories by 100-200. That's should get things moving again.I have been trying to. But certain things still make me sick. I have had to restart myself a few times already and getting ready to do it again. Going to talk to my surgeon about it tomorrow. I haven't added too many new foods because of it and I can't eat that much because I get too full. I make sure to eat slow. There are sometimes I eat too fast though Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

when did you start exercising. I am 6 days out, I know I need to start off slow but wasn't sure how long to wait Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I was late. But I have seen 6 weeks at least. But you can start walking when you feel up to it. Just don't over do it. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

I think that's great! I'm almost 4 months or and am on week two of couch to 5k. I also have a personal trainer come 3x a week, 30 min twice and an hour on Saturday. I usually walk in addition to the c25k 5 times a week. My surgeon said as long as we're feeling good, we can do what we want.I think I am just so lost on everything. I know there is no way I can afford the whole personal trainer thing Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App Try Fitstar app, I have been using it over about 2 weeks and I love it. 2 workout sessions a week is free but if you want more then you have to pay but I like it because it increases in intensity the more you work out. But, I am also one of those people I can motivate myself, I just need the structure.I can motivate myself too. I just get lost or too overwhelmed. I don't work. And I get exercised induced headaches and migraines. And I think that might be where I get lost with what I can do. I push through with my treadmill. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App That is where the app is the trainer. You do a fitness test and workout from there. I say just give it a try. It's free so what can you lose besides weight! LolI just might have to. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  17. Definitely is. The liquid diet is easier than it sounds. I am thinking about doing it again. I have just felt so sick the last couple days not sure what caused it Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  18. I was really nervous for my surgery and tried talking myself out of it every time my date came up. (They rescheduled me 2 times) the surgeon even told before they took me back that it was my last chance to get off my bed and walk out of the hospital. But I made myself stay because I knew I needed the surgery. I am not too worried about excess skin, I am going to tighten as much as I can. But I know I am going to have some due to the weight and a pregnancy. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App My highest weight is 583 and my current weight is 4 90 so I know there will be a lot of skin to be removed Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App I think if you can get through the weight loss surgery you can get through the skin removal! You will do great. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

I have been wanting to get weights, waiting for husbands taxes of course or when we have a free check at this point. Because I know I need to get weights or something especially for my arms. I have noticed I am starting to lose strength in my arms. Only a little loss in my legs Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

I know there is no way I can afford the whole personal trainer thing Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App I've been very blessed, my trainer charges for her time, not per person, so a friend and I split her already reasonable rate. So I only spend about $80/month for her. (She trains my daughter as well)That's the thing, I am so strapped for cash. I could barely afford the treadmill when I got it. I only got it because I had set the money aside to get it before I had surgery done. I am getting ready to possibly move again and I just moved back in November. It is so sad. Lol. I am a stay at home mom so I don't have extra income at this point. I just need other stuff to at home. I have been getting ideas on pinterest. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
