  1. Good morning everyone. I am nearing 6 years post VSG I have never made it to goal. I have many regrets in life but my children are not one of them. My starting weight was 488.5 and I managed to make it down to 350lbs my first year. the second year post op I found out I was pregnant and gained 83lbs. I lost a little weight after pregnancy, but 10 months after having my first child I was pregnant again and gained 15 pounds. and 6 months later was pregnant again but lost that pregnancy. I was dealing with a rough time, 5 months after my miscarriage my second child was diagnose with type 1 diabetes and the weight has just been pouring on from there. I tried keto the past month and gained 10 lbs and now I am adding more activity in my day with a 30 day fitness challenge. I am on day 2 and feeling like wanting to give up. maybe I wasn't meant to be smaller?. I have never known a day where I weighed a normal weight for someone my height or age. ok enough with the pity party, I guess I am just curious to know if there are others like me who have a high BMI and have more than 150lbs to lose? Or a High BMI that has never made it goal and having some regain issues? Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Noodles

I would also.. I'm 5 years and guess what.. I eat cake on my birthday and my son's birthday. I gave up carbs in the beginning but now I don't scarf down a bag of chips or eat half a cake to myself. Sent from my HTCD100LVWPP using the BariatricPal App

    Noodles

I'm five years out and I tried Pasta and rice maybe two years after my surgery because I was nervous to try it.. those foods are fillers for me.. if I eat those I won't get my Protein in at all.. don't mind the harsh comments.. we are human and as human we learn from experience. I love rice but now I can not eat it because it hurts when I eat it.. I think for everyone to say they don't spurge or go of course every now and then is total BS ... If you try it talk to your Nut first and see what he or she has to say on a good time frame to try it. They might advise against doing so, but you never know they are human to who indulges here and there also I am sure. Sent from my HTCD100LVWPP using the BariatricPal App

    Coffee

Caffeine has a tendency to make you dehydrated so I'm sure that is the reason for it. Plus the acidity of it I'm sure Sent from my HTCD100LVWPP using the BariatricPal App

  21. Hello everyone near and far. My name is Nessa I am 29 years old, I started my journey Nov 2011 weighing 488.5lbs. I had VSG 1/17/12 and have lost 133.5lbs. Since my surgery I dropped down to 353lbs had two kids and from that I have gained 35lbs I believe my math could be off I am roughly 389lbs as of today. So I went and talked with my surgeon on how I can get back on track because I pretty much been holding on to the 300s for the past three years. They strongly think I should think about having RNY done. So hear I am guess just looking for more info and possibly read some experiences from that and gain a friend or two in the process. thank you for reading. Newbie to the Forums and RNY

Congrats on all your success. I still get full fast, and there is no issue with my sleeve. The Dr. Said it looks like it did when I first got sleeved. She just thinks with how high my BMI is and staying in the 300s for sometime, I might be one of the few that need an extra surgery to get to goal. The only issue I have is heartburn badly but they gave me some scripts to help. Sent from my HTCD100LVWPP using the BariatricPal App

Would You Get A Rny Tattoo?

When I hit my goal weight I plan to get a tat of me at my highest as a pin up. So I always remember that even though I thought I was beautiful heavy, I will be beautiful at goal and a whole lot healthier! Sent from my HTCD100LVWPP using the BariatricPal App
