Last night, around 10pm I passed out. I was standing up and felt my body getting this really odd feeling. I got very light headed and next thing I knew 2 people were holding me up! I regained consciencesness when I heard my ring hit the floor. I was so embaressed and scared. I was in front of a bunch of people that I didnt know. They probably think I'm a drug addict or something. My speach was very mumbled afterwards as well. I left with my friend who I went with and immediately felt fine as soon as I got to the car. I know I've been having a hard time eating enough, and getting my vitamins in, but I never thought this would happen. I'm afraid to drive now, what if it happens while I've got the kids with me?! Has anyone else had this happen to them.

Passed out

I'm 2.5 months out. I've never had bp issues, or any health problems other than obesity. I wasn't sitting, I had been standing since I had gotten there, so about 30 mins. I had had some cranberry juice about an hour prior, it wasn't diet and I didn't realize, but I had maybe 4oz. I eat about 500-600 calories a day with 65grams of protein and 64oz water minimum. Nothing about yesterday was different. Thanks for all the answers guys -
So I'm 2 months out and was at 265, with a total of 59 lbs lost since surgery and 107 total. This was my weight on Sunday. Today I weighed myself because I've been feeling a little swollen and was up 3.5lbs. I'm eating like I have been and drinking lots of water. I haven't worked out in a week. Is this a cause for concern? Is it normal? Should I call my Dr? I can't possibly be eating enough to gain real weight, I'm at about 550,600 calories a day.

Weight gain
mandapanda112200 replied to mandapanda112200's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Laceemouse, I was 324 when I had the surgery, and 372 when I started the process. I'm wicked happy about the progress trust me! I am just a little concerned because of the weight gain. Wasn't sure if it was something to be calling the Dr about. I know I can't keep up the extreme weight loss, but wouldn't that be nice still have about 100lbs to go! Thanks for the input guys. I called my NUT earlier and she did recommend increasing my calories a bit and not working out as vigorously as I have been, so I'm going to try that. I'll let you know how I do -
Any good recipes for protein bars?
mandapanda112200 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I like to be able to control my ingredients and know exactly what I'm eating. I'm looking to make some protein bars that are yummy, but healthy. Ones I've made in the past (pre-op) I'm learning had waay to many carbs! -
As a side note, I could have had surgery at the end of august, early september, but I was going to be out of the country and had to much going on. Hope that helps

I live in central MA and have masshealth. I started the program at st.vincents in February, and had surgery Oct 5th. I had to attend 1 on 1 nutrition appointments, 6 weekly group appointments, a couple psyc appointments and had to be up to date on all my other health things (physical, pap...etc). It was a quick process for me. I still attend monthly support meetings. Masshealth gave me no problems.

First day I can eat with no restrictions

Not gonna lie, I'm kinda nervous! My NUT cleared me to start eating a regular diet and I'm so nervous I'm gonna mess it up. I track my food, which to this point has been very simple. I'm not afraid I'll go back to bad habits, but I'm afraid I won't be eating the right things. Not enough protein, to many carbs, to frequently, not eating enough, etc...I know it'll take some getting used to, but it's scary! I also have fears of never getting out of these clothes, almost 100lbs down and besides going down 1 or 2 pant sizes, all my clothes still fit. Its very depressing. This journey has been very difficult mentally. Currently I've lost 45lbs since surgery on Oct 5th, down to 279. With a starting weight of 324 at surgery and 372 when I started the program. -
I'm only 5.5 weeks out so I'm not eating fruits and veggies yet, but I was wondering if they'll ever be a big part of my diet again. I started a diet in May and lost 50lbs and had surgery Oct 5 and have lost about 46lbs. Veggies, fruit, nuts and lean meats were all I ate. I've been craving veggies for weeks now. Just seeing them in my kitchen makes me salivate. I know it's really important to get the protein in, and since the pouch is so small it's important to get the protein part first than focus on the other things. Will I ever be able to enjoy my roasted veggies, carrots and hummus, bean salad, or tomatoes again?!

I'm 11 days out and still on mostly liquids only. I'm drinking 2 shakes a day 1/4 cup cottage cheese and about 32oz of water. My question is, does protein water count as a meal, or does it just slide thru like regular water. I drink a brand that has 20g per 16of. Thanks [emoji1]

Rapid weight loss 1 week out. Nervous
mandapanda112200 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello, I had my surgery last Wednesday, Oct 5th, and my weight was 324. I started this journey at 372 and lost just about 50lbs on my own. Well, not even one week out of surgery and I've lost 26lbs, I'm down to 298. I'm having a hard time eating and drinking. Not that I get sick, but I just have no desire to eat or drink. I often forget. Well today it caught up with me and i woke up very dizzy and light headed. I drank some protein water and a shame and seemed a little better, but by 1pm I was exhausted and napped for 3 hours. I'm planning on calling the Dr tomorrow, but was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences. Thanks [emoji1] -
