  1. I have had terrible back/lung pain the past couple days. Im 23 days post op for the sleeve and I havent had 1 problem yet. Im just getting a little worried about what it can be. Maybe gas ? I can feel a pain when i breathe in ... I also was hanging pictures and working around the house earlier it could easily be a pulled back muscle. Any opinions or experiences ???

Call your doctor ASAP. You need to rule out pulmonary embolism. Seriously, call right now. You need blood work and, most important, a CT scan with contrast.

Like monday if its still bothering me ??? Cant call him till then. It started to get noticeable around 5pm today. I have no temperature. I think it could be a pulled muscle. But why would it only hurt when im breathing in then ?

Maybe pleurisy or costochronditis? Those are just big words for respiratory infections that can be really painful. Pleurisy affects the lining of the lungs and costochronditis is inflammation of the lining around the rib cage and can happen after being exposed to a virus then hurting a muscle.

Just a thought. Could be any number of different things. Grab your trusty respiratory "toy" you received either before your surgery or after to help with lung function and see if that offers any relief. However, if the pain gets worse, or other symptoms develop, please seek immediate medical attention.

Hoping for the best for you!
