Feeling like a failure
BuffaloBill replied to taylorfulfer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From all I've read the first 12-18 months is when u will lose the most because the body hasnt for used to its changes and metabolism. So u still have time to get back on track and achieve the goals. Start using the myfitnesspal to track yur food. And exercise as much as possible. I feel the same way I'm 4 mos post and 40-50 lbs from my goal weight. It takes dedication and hard work , I've learned it's nothing to just magically lose on its own after the initial first month. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Alcoholic Beverages
BuffaloBill replied to I AM NOT MY SIZE's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel like it takes alot for me too feel drunk.. beer does not sit well at all. But alcohol I'm afraid to see how much I can drink. But I've drank a good amount and never feel drunk. Pre op I used to get the worst hangovers. Now they're non existent. I have no clue . Don't make sense to me Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app -

Same here Taylor .. I lost some lbs and felt great and took 2 much needed vacations and ate like total ****. Then with the holidays and new years and the goddamn super bowl blahhh it's been a disaster for me... only thing is I have been very consistent in the gym... I feel like I've been stagnant for like a month or even 6 weeks and it's time to lose the rest of this weight I had the f**king surgery for. My surgery date was Oct 5th. Yes actually sugar makes me sick sometimes too. I actually trybto avoid that as much as possible. I've lost like 40... 60 lbs in 5 mos is good .. we just gotta stick with a clean diet and good exercise and I'm sure we will get too our goals. Right now I'm 215 and my goal is 170. Hello , my heaviest weight was On March 2017 of last year and was 280lbs. I was 255lbs on my surgery date which was Oct 5, 2017. I'm a gym maniac I work out 5 days a week for at least a hour mostly 90 mins... Today I'm at 220lbs. I feel like I haven't lost anything between months 3 and 4... I'm afraid to check the scale cause I don't wanna depress myself when I see I haven't lost much and worked so hard. I didn't eat as healthy as I should of during the 3rd month because I was traveling alot. I've been pretty disciplined the past 2 weeks. When was everybody's greatest weightloss ? My goal weight is 180/170 so I'm 40/50lbs from where I wanna be. I'm open too all suggestions. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

I drank 5 weeks post op. Probably did like 5 shots of tequila. And sipped water in between. I was fine and actually surprised when I woke up the next day I didn't have any signs of a hangover. Pre-op I definately would of been hungover. Definately not making drinking a regular thing but I was totally fine. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Today I'm 6 weeks post op. I went out with my boy that's in from Tampa to have some drinks/food for happy hour. We used to drink like maniacs. Shot after shot... Sooo I had 2 shots and a bloody Mary total at the 4 bars we went too. Ordered a crab cake . But Yea I'm home now and feel pretty good and proud of myself... the old Kenny would still be out getting it on.. I had enough of that life I wanted it too be over. How did everybody deal with drinking once they started again. After they're VSG surgery ? Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Killian's Gastric Sleeve Journey
BuffaloBill replied to Killian's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Grilled chicken in a bag. I used Kirkwood. Was so light on my sleeve and it's very moist. Put that in the food processor. Weigh it out and add hummus or ricotta cheese... that was key for me on pureed foods. And eggs. Experiment. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Calling all October sleevers!!
BuffaloBill replied to Detroit_25's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How's everybody doing in here ?? I know alot of people had surgery in late October. I had my month but really 5 week appointment with my surgeon on Tuesday. I'm not a big scale guy I'm more how I look and feel ,but I lost like 20lbs since surgery. The first 3 weeks were rough mentally. Physically it was cake for me. Very blessed. I see the light at the end of the tunnel tho I realized exactly how this is gonna work between week 4 and 5... we absolutely have to eat healthy and consume nutritious protein when we eat. Cause once you switch to food again after liquids you see how limited the room in your belly is.. idk about u guys but I've saved a ton of money on food these past 5 weeks.. but I'm posting to let all the late October's know it got so much better for me between week 4 and 5 and after I spoke to my surgeon and he said I'm doing great. Remember we have the rest of our lives to figure out how to work the sleeve. My numbers aren't precise but HW=280 SW-245 CW=225 GW-170/180 . I look at it like I'm half way home to exactly where I wanna be for the rest of my life. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Killian's Gastric Sleeve Journey
BuffaloBill replied to Killian's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm so happy now that I'm like 5 weeks out and I get it now... like jersey jules said in a video and I realized the eating like a fat slob days are over with. There's no way to pile food in like how we did to get overweight. It's a amazing tool I feel very lucky to have. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Killian's Gastric Sleeve Journey
BuffaloBill replied to Killian's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Cold cuts are processed so technically they're bad but if your sleeve has no problem with them lo fat turkey off the bone is the one I've been going with and my sleeve has handled it well. I think it's a good snack cause it's high protein low carbs. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app -
Yea exactly to take this last part even further. People with shitty opinions about your journey probably won't be there for the best part of it so effff them.. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app

Bariatric Sleeve-4 weeks post op
BuffaloBill replied to Tony22's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My god me too.. I befriend guys that think like that it's a quality not many have left... It is such a big deal now tho. Being single and 36 I really don't have a choice. So I'm just embracing it. I try to stay off Facebook that is the absolute worst. Youtube is cool for information. And Instagram is just pictures so that's not bad. Twitter is good for news . But yeah I'm about as anti Facebook as someone my age can be.. I could go on and on for days. Well at least I got ya locked in this thread until one of us kicks the bucket. Thanks for the info. I understand everything u explained completely. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app -

Thank you so much..Im a huge gym guy.. I started working out at maybe 16 yrs old... got fat as **** around 32-33 saw my brother in law had the sleeve surgery so I did a ton of research and decided it's perfect for me. I spent a year getting back into decent shape pre-op and lost 40lbs in the 6-8 month period... I started back in the gym on day 8. Recovery was a breeze for me i had no issues. Only health related issues I'm having now is lightheadedness. I had my month post op appointment with my surgeon today and he said I'm looking great and the numbers are fine... I lost 18 lbs in that month. I've been looking for somebody too learn from and you speak exactly what I need to hear. Thank you so much. If u didn't get a chance to look at my numbers they help explain me more so u can get an idea of what I'm working with.. I'm 5'7 36yr old .My HW=280 SW=247 CW=228 GW=170/180 also I'm not a very big numbers guy but my goals are too no 1 look good and be comfortable after that build strength and endurance. Man my caloric consumption is abysmal . I stopped using myfitness pal app cause it depresses me too see how little calories I can consume. I can see how people would want to get calorie dense foods in them. I'm a month post op and I'm still trying to heal my new sleeve. How was everybody or is everybody doing at the month Mark ??? I've had good weight loss. Like 20+pounds in a month . My HW=280 SW=245 CW=225ish (I'm not a big scale guy) GW=170-180 Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
