Hi there - I am doing great. 43lbs down since my op. Where are you getting your sleeve done? I had mine in the Nuffield in Glasgow by Mr Gibson (who is the nicest person I have ever met) Kim

Anyone having a sleeve in Jan 17

I am finding the thinking about it and not actually doing it really hard - I have done all the "book learning" I can do, just need to get to the practical stage. I am not very good at sitting around waiting on things, Christmas will keep my mind off things I suppose -

Hi there I am as organised as I can be, over thinking things which is not helpful, start my LRD on boxing day then it is the final countdown to my new life. I am alternating between, nervous, excited and everything in between at the moment. lol Roll on 9th January when it will become real. xxx -

I just gave up, wasn't worth it to be honest. Decided to make the investment and go private and its the best decision I have made. Mr Gibson is one of the nicest people I have come across, so laid back. Everyone I have met so far has been really lovely and really helpful. 2017 is the year that my new life starts. Start my Liver reduction diet on boxing day, its really strict but its only for 2 weeks. (that's what I keep telling myself anyway!) It looks like you could be getting surgery quite soon - good luck with that x

I got a categoric no - was told that they wouldn't put me forward as I wouldn't qualify. I am just under 18 stone with a BMI of nealy 43, HBP and have been told that I am pre diabetic, still told to go away. I have asked about it 3 times over the last couple of years and got the same answer each time (from different doctors in the surgery) I am getting a Gastric Sleeve on 9th January - 50% excited and 50% scared at the moment to be honest

Hi Gryffen - good luck on working your way through the system. I was flatly refused when I asked about referral (NHS GG&C) so have gone down the private route and am getting sleeved on 9th January at the Nuffield in Glasgow.
