    Awaken by your own cold body

    I was freezing for about the first 5 months. Getting better. Seems to be tapering off and I am now comfortable at about 75 F instead of 85. Was absolutely freezing my tail off for the first 5 months but now I am getting back to normal.. Might have to do with losing 125 Lbs during the first 6 months. Weight plateaued and I am pretty much back to being hot blooded again.

    Night shift

    When I work the night shift the biggest problem I have had is freezing. I used to enjoy 65 Degrees and now I freeze at anything below about 80. 6 month out and it is getting a little bit better. Have also had some problems with mild muscle cramping in my legs and chest. Guess I need some more potassium. Since I switched to Bari Life complete Vitamins it has gotten a lot better.
  3. Hold my breath while I swim on lap in a 25 meter pool. 'Sit comfortably at a restaurant. The seats fit. Gone from 48" pants to 36" pants. 'Feels pretty good the only thing I am still hoping is for my Blood pressure to improve. Still working on that one. A1C went from 8.1 to 5.2. No medication required for Diabetes. 'I am just coming up on my 6 month check up but so far so good. 'Walk a mile or two without being tired. Which considering I broke my leg and shattered my knee just before my surgery is pretty good.

    First time puking

    I have learned that whole milk and most cereals will cause me to throw up. I have no problem with 2% milk but whole milk will have me sick for 1/2 a day. Most cereals will also cause me to have the dumping syndrome. oatmeal and cream of wheat are fine. Just have to learn the hard way what you can and can not eat.

    Vitamins

    6 months out and no Vitamin deficiency. I have been taking the Bari life powdered Vitamins and that seems to be doing the job along with some extra D3. Cost is about $30 per month. The only thing they keep telling me is I need more Protein in my diet. Feeling pretty good. The only problem is when I eat Veggies like broccoli or cauliflower. (GAS). Got to do lots of walking after eating my veggies and some beano.

    Hair Loss with DS

    I have been taking Barilife Vitamins and if anything I have been lucky. My hair is actually a little thicker and no loss. My doctor said as long as I keep my Protein up and take my Vitamins no problem. I had my surgery on 21 June 2016 it has now been about 4 months and so far very few complaints. Just make sure you have some beano when you first start eating your veggies.

    Getting in Protein

    The best thing I have found is Premier Protein shakes at Sams Club. 30 Grams of protein for 11 oz. You can sip on it till you finish it because it has a cap you can put back on and put it back in the fridge or a cooler at work. I am now 4 months out and drinking at least on of them a day is the only way I can get enough protein.

    SIPS / SADI-S LOOP DS SUPPORT

    I have been able to eat anything in moderation except for whole milk and pastries. I have to share a meal with my wife because of how much I can eat. But I have a little bit of everything just have to keep it down to about 1/2 plate of food. 10-12 oz. in a meal is my max. Just have to make sure I take some beano before I eat my veggies to help with gas.

    SIPS / SADI-S LOOP DS SUPPORT

    Shrimp is a good snack. I have been able to eat anything except for whole milk (2% no problem) and have to be careful on anything like pastries. I have to drink at least one Protein shake a day or I can not get enough protein. That is the only thing my labs have shown me to need more of. Feeling great have gone form 317 lbs to 240. Surgery was 21 June 2016. Can not believe I have gone from 48 waist on my pants to a 36 pants. 3 or 4 XXXXL shirts to XL.
  10. I had the switch performed on 21 June 2016 and I am now at 240 Lbs. Weighed 317 on the day of my surgery. So far the only problems I have had are drinking whole milk (2% is fine) and gas when I eat my veggies. Bean o is a definite before I eat my veggies. I have been pretty happy so far with it. Be careful when they tell you about dumping syndrome they are not kidding. If I drink whole milk or have something that is to rich (pecan rolls) I have definitely paid the price for about 4-6 hours after. But as long as I do not go to crazy I have been able to eat pretty much anything in moderation. I highly recommend a lot of walking after. It makes the difference for me between mild suffering from gas and no problems.
