Sometimes you have to do a before and after/during picture comparison. Or, just go out an buy a size down pants.

You look great. Did you have sagging/loose skin? If not, what did you use to keep from having it? If you don't mind my asking.

Why can't we have nuts?

Good job Sal and good luck. Let us know what happens.

On the day of surgery, I weighed 235. Today, I weigh 215. So, I've lost 20 pounds in 5.5 weeks. I'm just hoping to lose 3 pounds per week. I will be happy with that.

I took exactly 28 days (4 weeks) off. I needed each and every minute too. My job approved for me to get short term disability and I was paid at 80% of my regular pay.

The dumbest thing told to me was, "but you won't be able to sit down and have a good meal, I mean a good meal, you will only be able to eat a little bit."
-
I went through with the surgery because I had recently done JJ Smith's Green smoothie Cleanse and lost 60 pounds. But, I started slipping and gained 48 of the 60 pounds back. As usual, I thought that I can mess up just one day and then get back on track again. Getting back on track became harder and harder and then I realized I couldn't do it on my own. I live in the south and my family loves to eat. We got together over the weekend. I made my big plate, ate what I could, told them that I was taking the rest home and have for lunch the next day. I gave it to my husband once we got into the car to leave. I didn't tell anyone other than my husband and daughter that I got the surgery. I'm just letting them assume that I started doing the GSC again and eating sensibly. Believe it or not, most people don't notice what you eat unless you eat a whole lot, then they talk about you.
Whatever you decide, good luck. Do what's best for you.

Glad you finally got to go home. Hang in there, it will get better. Liquids are still hard for me. So is getting in the Protein. I want some veggies, but they cause bad gas and I always regret eating them.

I was given the okay at 2 weeks post op, a few days ago. I was told that I can jog and do any classes that don't have any abrupt stopping or pulling, basically no boot camps. No lifting over 16 pounds.

I was diagnosed with H. pylori also. Did the two weeks antibiotic regime, breath tested 4 weeks after. Still there. Sleeve surgery was done 1 week into the second two weeks antibiotic regime. My surgeon made sure that I was still given the antibiotics after the surgery and I continued them after being released to home. I go back for breath test in 3 weeks. I won't take the antibiotics again. They make me sick to the stomach.

I think it's gas.

I had that problem. I still only stayed in the hospital for 2 days. It was full days though. I had my surgery at 6 am Sept 21, 2016 and was not released until the 23rd at around 8 pm. A couple of tricks that I learned was to mostly sit straight up and keep a wet towel close by. When you feel that you are going to throw up, put the towel on the front of your neck. It doesn't always work, but it mostly does.
I hope you get to go home soon.
