  1. So I am a week out of surgery. First couple of days it felt like I did 10 000 sit ups. Today it feels like only doing 500. Got my walking down, sipping my liquids but need to sip a lot more to meet my goal. I know it doesn't happen overnight. I start each day with a Boost Diabetic Protein drink. Nice to see there is an app for this. Hope I get to know others here. Cheers manitobamama

    OCTOBER GBs where are you?!?!

I was on 5 Boost Diabetic Protein shakes a day plus all the Water i could consume. This was two weeks pre-op. This was not easy, especially when I prepared meals for my kid. But I made it through that part ,surgery was September 28. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  11. Yeah chewing my meds in order to swallow them was more than disgusting but had to do what I needed to take them when dissolving them wasn't an option. Look for an app called the bariatric pyramid. It shows you what you should have on hand. Hope this helps Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    30 minutes

That's how most of us got to the point of surgery...washing our food down. I don't like it any better and won't change what my doc says until pigs grow wings and fly manitobamama

    30 minutes

I was told to stop drinking 30 mins before a meal and 30 minutes after said meal, otherwise dumping will occur manitobamama

    Any October 2016 Sleevers?

I had gone to a friend's get together and I made the cake (do custom cakes as a hobby) it was a boob cake for our friend who is in Stage 4 of cancer.Everyone brought everything to dine on and all of my faves but I unbelievably just drank my Water and my Boost Diabetic...not even a bite of anything. I just kept telling myself that if I don't follow liquid diet to a tee than maybe liver won't shrink enough and I would be turned down for surgery. Didn't want to chance that and day of my surgery (09/28) and was weighed, I was already down 20 lbs. Hang in there and don't give a rat's ass as to what others may say. Leave negative persons behind. Much luck manitobamama
  19. Dreaded two week diet lolI had a VSG revision to RNY on 09/28. I was scared and nervous but was so happy that the 2 week pre op diet was done just to realize it's more like a 3 week liquid diet as you forget the week after surgery. I can be your buddy if needed. My middle daughter is currently teaching at Darby College until July. My dad was born in Horsham England but came to Canada, where we reside, when he was 6 manitobamama
