Good morning everyone, so I had surgery around 7:00 a.m. Yesterday March 1st. When I woke up I was in a lot of pain(gas pain). I'm normally a person who can tolerate pain but not this. The staff here at Saint Vincent has been more than amazing to me. Today, I feel much better. Ready to start my new healthy journey. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi, everything went well. I'm doing really good with consuming my liquid intake. I'm on full liquids and I cannot wait until soft food. I just want to chew something. Thanks for checking in on me

@carolynjackson I used gas x strips but unfortunately it didn't help as I thought it would. What really helped me was walking the halls. I'm on my way home now and ready to walk some more @ThickGirl5683 Thank you so much. I'm ready for my new journey. Here are my stats HW: 249 SW: 237 GW: 145-150 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have been on my liquid diet 4 days now surgery is March 1st. I'm so scared. I slipped and ate some chicken last night. I was doing so good until I was asked to cook last night for my girls and my husband. I know I shouldn't have but nobody is perfect. Has anyone post or Pre op gone through this? I tried so hard but my mind took over and won. I regret that I did it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks@kempermorris. I honestly felt so bad I was so angry with myself. I will not do it again surgery is so close. No one was here with me after my husband went to work but my 4 year old daughter she doesn't understand what's going on. I need self control [emoji30] Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I started the liquid diet today. So far I'm doing really well. I had a premiere protein shake(caramel) I added 1 scoop of genepro and topped it off with some coffee. That took me up until a little after 10 a.m. I started at 8:30 a.m. I'm not hungry but I have some Gatorade2 lime that I've been sipping on. I have some jello for lunch. I'm not supposed to start the diet until next Wednesday on the 22nd. However, I want to start early so that I can get the most out of my sleeve. Surgery is on March 1st. Pray for me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

March 1st is the beginning of a new journey for me. Well actually Feb. 15 because I'll be going on a 2 week liquid diet. I'm only require 1 week. Question: I have Tricare Standard. Those of you who have Tricare, how much did you have to pay on the day of pre-admission? I called the hospital to see what the cost was going to be but they told me they won't know anything until 24-48 hours before surgery. I called insurance and they said if my deductible is met all I'll have to pay is the hospital stay. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So I have everything complete for gastric sleeve. EVERYTHING. They told us that we can use a primary or a GYN for a clearance letter. I picked my GYN faxed the surgeons office the clearance letter everything was fine. Now the patient advocate called and said I have to have another clearance letter because the one she has does not say I'm medically cleared for surgery. She said it only states I'm cleared from a GYN standpoint. Well what's the point in telling women we can use a GYN if at the end you're also going to need a clearance letter from your primary doctor? I've already been approved. This is so frustrating to me. I'm just ready to give up. I don't have a primary care doctor that's why I had to go with my GYN. Hi everyone! So my insurance has approved me for the surgery and on my Authorization form it says my expected day should be Jan. 16th. Unfortunately, I don't go and do the sleep study until Feb. 16th. Is there anyway around the sleep study? Lol... I'm so ready to get on to a healthier lifestyle. I'm super excited about my approval just waiting around for the sleep study is the hard part that takes a lot of patience Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How Long dose it take for insurance company to approval after a the requirement are met?
Big_fine replied to cyndi990's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My insurance approved me in 3 days. The surgery scheduler told me that it normally takes about 3-4 weeks before they get back with an approval. I called to check on another claim 3 days later and that's when I found out that I had been approved. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Is PCOS and ANEMIA considered a co morbidity?
Big_fine posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm new to this site. I'm having my first appointment Monday October 10th. I have tricare standard. My bmi is 38 and I've only been diagnosed with PCOS and Anemia. I'm not sure if I'll get approved so I'm thinking about canceling my appointment. My husband said I snore really loud to the point where he doesn't sleep in the same room with me most nights. Anyone else had the same problems I'm having? -
