    Skin changes

Dry skin can be a sign of gallbladder issues. My face was like the Sahara, I ended up having my gallbladder out 3.5 months after my sleeve. The high fat diet and weight loss is very hard on the gallbladder.

    Skin changes

I had the itchiness too- turns out I had a Thiamine deficiency (B1), so it may be vitamin related for you as well. My NUT had seen it a few times before.

    I had a meltdown :(

It was hard in the beginning for me too. Alcohol wipes help with little bouts of nausea. Try Atkins Lift Protein Water, tastes like flavored water. Just keep trying and you'll get there. ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-198

    first post-- protein question

I second Atkins Lift. They're delicious. I couldn't stomach Premier Protein or GENEPRO (it's not completely flavorless, you can still taste something being added). ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-198

    Protein

I couldn't stomach Premier Protein or GENEPRO. My NUT recommended these and they go down so much easier for me! ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-198

    Unflavored Protein

I struggled with shakes and powders, even unflavored. Nutritionist recommended this and it goes down soooo much better! ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-198

    Eating

Yes, especially with denser Proteins. Just keep aiming for your Protein goals and you will get there eventually. I'm two months out and still can't always get 2 oz in. My behavior modification specialist said to also try deep breathing before eating to try and relax your stomach before eating. (I have two young kids and mealtime can be hectic, if my nerves are frazzled at mealtime, I can barely get anything in). ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-198

Having a TOUGH time getting in Protein

Clear Protein drinks went down easier for me as well. I found some at Wal-Mart and Walgreens. 20g protein in each, I still use them, they just go down much easier for me. ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-201

    Salad - 4 months out

2 months out. My NUT never mentioned anything about salad being avoided. I eat one everyday for lunch and/or, mostly covered with Protein, which is how I prefer it anyway. I don't have any issues. ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-201

    2016 November Sleevers

Weight has been stalled for a few weeks as well, but my body is still changing for sure. ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-201

    Post op two weeks help.

I went through the same thing, it took about two weeks before I was able to eat anything without gagging. Just try your best, it will pass eventually. Once I started eating again, I felt immensely better. ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-207.5

    Food Aversions

Exact same situation. The thought of food makes me queasy. My husband fixed the kids chicken for supper and I had to leave the room. I know I need to eat to feel better, but I can't force it or it comes back up. My doctor wants me walking 30 minutes five days a week and I get winded walking around the house doing chores. ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-213

    Food Aversions

I'm about three weeks out and really struggling with food aversions. The idea of eating just about anything makes me want to gag. I can't even take the smell of food. I can swallow fine and keep food down, it's just a matter of trying to find something I can tolerate to WANT to eat. I know I need to eat to get my Protein, but shakes and powders make me gag as well. I'm down to drinking Water all day, with MAYBE two or three bites of food per day. My NUT said to treat it like a good side effect of the surgery and it will pass eventually, but my energy is tanked and I feel weak when standing or walking. Any advice? How long does this last? ---------- Surgery date- 11/8/16 HW- 249 SW- 235 CW-213

    Vitamin Patches- Do they work?

Haven't had labs yet, but I bought the Multivitamin patch and feel 10 times better and more energetic. It's so nice not having to worry about taking Vitamins all day. My life is hectic enough that I'm struggling remembering to eat! Surgery date- 11/8/16, Height- 5'6", HW- 249, SW- 235, GW- 160, CW (11/16)- 226
