Everyone is different! Here is my loss :)
creatingthenewme replied to creatingthenewme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you! Every little bit counts! -
I was weighed in at every Surgeon, dietician, and primary doctor appointment. My starting weight for insurance purposes was my first weigh in with the dietician because that's how their clinic operated. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App

I was able to sleep on my stomach without pain about 4 weeks after surgery. -
Weight loss stall
creatingthenewme replied to RubeZac's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can expect stalls throughout your entire journey. It's unfortunate but normal. I've read of stalls lasting a couple days or weeks. I personally had about a two week stall a couple weeks after surgery. -
Hunger Pains?

How many times do I have to go
creatingthenewme replied to shon74's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It really depends on your insurance and also the clinic that you are having surgery with. I had monthly primary care doctor visits and nutritionist visits for three months. I also saw the surgeon twice during that time. I had an additional surgeon visit and nutritionist visit the week before surgery. In the past 5 weeks since surgery I have seen the surgeon twice and the nutritionist twice. I had to sign a contract with them that I will see them each every three months for the next year and annually after that. Lots of visits! -

Am I crazy?
creatingthenewme replied to fatnomore2017's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is different so it could go both ways. I go back to work on Tuesday and my surgery was on 11/22. I did have some complications along the way but so could you. Two weeks could very well be just fine but there is that possibility that it may not be enough. -
Congratulations!

Weight Gain
creatingthenewme replied to brandyshell's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My advice would be to only weigh yourself once a week. I drive myself crazy weighing myself too much and it's something I still struggle with. I know that I gain weight as the day goes on so I can understand the weight gain. It's definitely hard but try for once a week . You are still early out from surgery and I did experience some weight gain in the couple weeks after my surgery. Continue to eat right and eventually exercise and you should be fine . I only had about a two pound weight loss from my 1 week to 1 month post-op appointment. I immediately lost about 17 pounds in the first 5 days after surgery and it stopped. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I asked the surgeon's office about it and they said that it's completely normal .

10 days out....
creatingthenewme replied to Caleia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a lot of issues right after surgery due to some complications. I was drinking/eating basically nothing! There were quite a few days were I was lucky to get in 12 ounces of Water and I can tell you that I was extremely dizzy and was almost admitted back into the hospital. Up your water and that should help . -
SURGERY DAY TODAY!
creatingthenewme replied to newbirth1230's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck and congratulations! -
I'm not sure about pre-op but I would say that if you love to chew gum, stop now. I was told that I can't chew gum post-op because of the air and therefore gas that it will produce. It'll be nice to have a jump start on getting used to it.

question about co pay f9r surgery
creatingthenewme replied to risewithfire's topic in Insurance & Financing
I also have Cigna and it really will depend on if the hospital wants you to pay upfront. This happened to me once when I had foot surgery and they wanted me to put money down. I also have a 10% coinsurance on my policy. The surgery was $49K and I just received my EOB paperwork for the surgery itself and I have to pay $1,100 after all the write-offs and such from the hospital. Luckily it turned out to be less for me. Hopefully it works out the same for you! -
125 days after Sleeve
creatingthenewme replied to contestador's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Great job!! -
I have the Blaze and I love it. I had the Fitbit Flex before and it was okay but you can definitely do more with the Blaze. I also owned a Garmin but everyone I know has a Fitbit so it was hard for challenges.
