How do you view overweight people now that your thin?

I guess another reason i posted these questions is because everytime i go see my bariatric surgeon. When i walk into a room full of people they all start looking at me up and down like i am or was there worst nightmare. Then i think to myself hey you guys were at this same point at one time of your lives too. Its the mentality of an ex smoker speaking to a smoker. Of all places i would have thought that this place would be judgement free but it feels the worse. As for the dating i have a sister who is currently losing weight but is literally battling with her husband who is obese for her not to lose weight WHAT? Blows my mind but she will not let him go and she is also losing the battle. ???? Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

    Calorie

Thank you all for your replies i had known that dsers do not count calories but i have known other things that dsers are doing and at my doctors they tell me diffrently. Like i thought dsers intake more fat but my nut does not allow it she wants me on low fat low calorie foods that is why i thought she would eventually tell me about calorie amounts. That is why i asked. Thanks for all your responses. Very informative. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App
  8. I am a dser and hispanic boy do i know about them holidays just went through my first it was tuff but i did it. Eventually you will be able to have some of the foods back you may have to tweek them to make them better but everything in moderation. Also it depends on your sleeve and what you can tolerate some folks on here are saying that there taste buds changed or that their sleeves do not tolerate some of the foods they loved. 19. I was taking plaquenil and methotrexate and fixing to start humira when i found out i was approved for this surgery. Surgeon stopped me from taking humera took me off the methotrexate a few days before surgery. After surgery he took everything but the plaquenil which does not do much for my hip and knees after about a week i called and asked when i could start with the gloucosamine again for some reason this stuff helps my knees after my first dr visit after surgery i started back on the methotrexate. I think i am going totell my rheumy doc that i want to hold back on humira until i see if weight loss helps me out. Once i started my reg pills again i felt better hard to get in required exercise when your legs dont work. Was stuck doing chair exercises. Now i am moving slowly granted but feeling better. 24. I made it through christmas and boy it was not easy. As the smell of tamales wafted through the air while they were cooking and the spoon scraping the bottom of the posole pot was chiming in my ears. The warmth of the fresh bread baking in the oven followed by the sweet flavors of the buttery snowball Cookies being dunked in powdered sugar. I managed to to decorate the sugar cookies like a family and participate in most of the christmas traditions that we usually do but boy was it hard not to lick the frosting off my fingers when it would drip off the cookie. As everyone ate i too ate my 2 oz of turkey along with my family though it was not the hardest day of my life it was the most trying but i kept my wits and thanked god i was able to withstand the temptations. I only pray for everlasting strengh through my journey. And although i am happy i made it through it also makes me sad about how much this life of mine revolved around food.
