Sgc sorry about the sold out tickets but you missed a prime opportunity to see if she would have liked doing something else instead. If your really into this girl just ask her if she would be interested in going out on a date. If she says no then you at least tried and not left with would've could've should've. If she says yes then hot damn you better figure out where your taking her. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Belgian guy i can't tell you what may have happened but you should not let this one incident take away from your confidence. You have overcome so much in life and were still able to get fit again. You were able to go out on a date and even a second date and she may or may not call you back but you can not let this one incident take so much control of your feelings, confidence, or life. Begian guy you are fit and handsome and going to a university which is probably filled with beautiful women. When you take a tumble you get back up and dust yourself off and get back at it again. You will be fine ☺ Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Yes sherri i eventually overcame it too. Some people just should not be doctors. You can always tell which ones they are going to be too from the look they first give as they walk into the room. Ugh! Glad the ob was wrong and you have two kiddos. Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Oh also for the ladies out there these words might bring you a chill lets see if you recognize them. Scoot down just a bit more little more now open. As a big woman these words are the most frightful of all the doctors i think especially when there is a tiny table involved ever had one tilt? Yup i have when doctor was in place talk about horrifying i cant believe i almost forgot about it. Lol arghhhh! Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Thank you guys for reminding me why i need this surgery these reasons you have listed are all on my list too. I have been waiting for the dr to set up a surgery date and this thread just gave me the boost i needed to continue with my journey. Sometimes when my body is not in pain i dont have a constant reminder that i need the surgery. So when i came across this post it was like a kick in the pants and a reminder of the humiliation i go through when i go to the eye doctors and the dentist. The eye docs for the small chairs plus my gut is always in the way when they put the equipment near your eyes it tends to push the eye wear away from me. At the dentist they put me in a long bed chair that goes down and tilts back of course it makes me feel top heavy to where i almost fall out of it. They stopped doing the full head xray since they learned it does not go around my head because my shoulders are so broad it got stuck trapping me inside super embarrassing not to mention painful. As for scales i hate the look the nurse gives me when i tell her that the scale does not go high enough to weigh me. Or when she or he has to walk out of the room to go get the bigger cuff for bp measurements. I am with 5'10 i weigh 391 right now. My worst nightmare is car accident with fire and being stuck inside do to my weight because first responders cannot get me out. My doctor set my goal weight at 175 right now that is just a dream that i pray comes true. ???? Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App

Okay so i have not had surgery yet and like alot of people here i am having it for health reasons. However i have to be honest with my self i am curious as to what ill look like. About three years back i was diagnosed with graves and hashimotos disease. Which caused me to lose 80 pounds now i am a big girl so that was a drop in the bucket for me however people did notice it in my face. They would make a comment along the lines of you look prettier with a fuller face. I actually heard it often. Now that i am waiting for my surgery i have to admit that even though i am doing it for health i cant help but wonder if i will lose my character. I see the before and after pics of all you losers and of course everyone looks great and i hear about all the gained confidence and what not but im wondering how many of you feel like you lost some of yourself? Like going from a kind face to a more stern look. Or being told you have a bubbly personality to not. Did your wls surgery success come with a price? Sorry just thinking???? Losing yourself literally
doxaholic replied to doxaholic's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Shelter dog, ridiculous not at all thank you for sharing let it all out. I have some very voluptuous breast and i heard that if you had them before you would have them after however, i am not sure what i actually have since i was an overweight teen during the developing stages. The females of my family are either really small or really big. I would be happy with any size my main concern is going to be the drooping. I know there is always plastics but i am barely going to have enough money for this surgery. A breast lift would be pushing it lol. Oh well my new mantra is telling myself im not doing it for beauty i am doing it for health. ???? Sent from my SM-G920P using the BariatricPal App -
