    Can We Eat Frozen Meals?

It probably depends on what you're surgical team allows. For me those would be a big N O. I am on a low carb, natural diet. No processed food..no pastas or rice which both of those contain. Atkins does make a frozen meal now I hear is ok..just add extra vegetables that you could try if cooking is an issue. Personally I do things like buy a big salmon or some chicken. Cook it on Sunday evening, divide it into meals for my week, then I pick different vegetables and seasoning for each meal to make them different. Quite quick in preparing. Grumbly "tummy"

I have a grumbling stomach too..when I eat..when I drink and a lot of in between times. I'm wondering it it's due to access air in the stomach? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Do you practice intermittent fasting? If so, how many hours do you fast? I've been doing intermittent fasting on food from 7pm to 11am. Plenty of liquids of course. Is this too strict? Not strict enough? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I Think I'm Having a Cracker Problem

Before surgery I would make my own low carb crackers..but I'm not allowed to have them yet but I will be again. I also like buying thin sargento cheese slices..cute in half to make triangles and bake..they make great crisps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My horrible experience at a restaurant.

Is this a real thing and where did you get one? Seems like a great idea! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App My Dr. Office gives all his patients this card. It states that I am a patient who can't eat more than 3 oz if they could respectfully allow me to share or offer a smaller portion at a discount. I haven't used mine yet because I just typically take leftovers home but I like knowing I have it if I need it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    What app do you use?

For logging your food, I'm assuming? If so, MyFitnessPal is a great app. I also have my health iPhone app connected to it so it logs my steps in automatically and takes calories off my daily allowance as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. OK so a hard boiled egg is 64% fat (good fat), 3% carb and 33% protein. Do you count that fat as carb? When I eat an egg, I count an egg as less than 1 net carb and don't look at the fat content. I use net carbs which is the carb minus any Fiber. I don't count fat but eat good fat. My main goals daily is lots of Water..eat under 30 net carbs, get 100g of protein and to walk at least 10K steps and weight train 3 times a week. My good fat food that I eat is coconut oil, avocado, nuts, etc. I count their calories but don't worry about fat as my main goal. I do eat lean meats though. 18. I'm 7 weeks post op. I did do the required 6 month Dr supervised diet before I was approved for surgery. I have been doing high Protein, low carb, 100g protein and 30g carbs before and after my surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Other than height and weight..your story is very similar to mine. I'm 5'6..my starting weight was 232..I'm currently at 207. I was and am a very clean, healthy eater..active walking everyday and active at my gym..my problem was also portions. I could only eat a small portion to lose anything and I struggled with being sick or dizzy. I tried everything too..WW, JC, medical weight loss, Adkins..you name it..I've tried it. Luckily the surgery has helped me eat those small portions to help lose easier..but not easily..you still have to measure..or at least I still measure everything..my high goal would be 57 lbs..low end goal 75..I'm going for the low end goal. My short term goal is to be 199 lbs on my birthday. Jan 17th and I will get it! Only you and your physician know if you need the surgery..who cares what other people think. I had family and friends tell me I didn't need it..but with my diabetes getting harder to control.. I knew I did. Good Luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I think 10,000 is a reasonable goal. I walk my two 15 minute breaks at work and half my lunch break and get those steps in before I even leave work. Breaks it up and makes it easier to obtain. Then I hit the gym for weight training or another 30 minute workout like the elliptical at least 3 times a week. I'm 7 weeks out and had the 3 week stall myself..actually 3-4 week stall. Lol Lower BMIs don't lose as quick either. I'm losing super slow but I'm losing and that's what counts. Just keep with it and it'll break through. It did for me..
