  2. I've been doing low carb- so I'll do 2-3oz of steak with some jack cheese on top or some ground sausage with cheese - bacon wrapped smokies ect nearly everything I eat is meat / Protein aside from cheese I don't eat fruit and I'll eat some veggies even with chicken steak ect I can eat s lot Like we went to Olive Garden yesterday and I got three meat balls as my meat and they are fair sized and I ate all three no issue Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Why are people's spouses so prone to leaving after WLS. I am about 20 pounds more now than I was when my husband and myself met - He has been so rude and disrespectful towards me lately and I feel like this is centered around weight loss I'm 70osh pounds down (190 weight ) and 2 months post op--- We have been married seven years and have two children together so we aren't exactly newlyweds either . Does it ever stop - will they ever except to the new you- part of me feels like blowing the diet and gaining it back to save my family Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. The dr told me too center was were they went in to lift the liver off the stomach- the one side is where they had the drain exit and placed two stitches to hold the drain- the right is an incision- the scar above my belly button is from having it pierced although there is a small incision inside my belly button they made as well which is where the sucked my stomach out of when I was sleeved- I think sometimes size plays a factor as to how many cuts you get as well- I was 223 at surgery Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. @@erica_ozzy73 I only have three wounds one to the right of my belly one to my left and one below my sternum as well- the one below my sternum was where the liver retractor was- at least that's what my dr told me so nearly everyone should have that one because it's where the liver is lifted for the procedure Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Is it true?

The sleeve doesn't take longer st the hospital I went to however the hospital I went to is a center for excellence and they go well above any regulations- Anything thing to think about is the fact that with the sleeve you have an extremely long staple line which can take some time to do- the hospital I used goes back and does a hand sewn reinforcement over the staple line of the sleeve and hasn't ever had a leak reported in all the years their program has been going on- In bypass you don't have the insanely long staple line where it's critical it be perfect to prevent leaks - however I believe the going back and reinforcing whatever work is done causes the bypass to be longer at the hospital I used - Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Is it true?

Yes ! Rearranging the organs is a huge thing to do- my sister is a surgeon ( not a bari surgeon - she does rectal surgery gross I know ) but when I first talked with her about having it she was 100% set on my not having bypass for that reason there are so many more complications that can be met down the road when other health issues arise when your insides are all moved around- The hospital I had my surgery st is VERY pro bypass about 80% of their surgeries are bypass -- it's easier to loose - maintain the loss better ect/ despite all the information and pull from them for bypass I stuck to my guns and did the sleeve- Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  19. So I accidentally bought a medium top from under armor as opposed to the large I thought I was grabbing - I'm a little over one month post op and o tried it on and not only could I get it on but it actually fit- so that inspired me to try on the large hoodie and it fit too- despite the dreaded stall life is amazing. 20. Anyone else's spouse constantly trying to set you up for failure? I don't think it's intended but it could be and I'm just not getting the signs- My husband is a naturally smaller person - he is constantly bringing chips Cookies ect to bed and always offering them to me- lately after he gets off work he will stop and get milkshakes and candy bars from the gas station - one for me and him of course. I'm only a little over four weeks out- I always kindly pass but it's a little annoying- Anyone else's spouse just not get it ? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Ladies! The best thing you can do for yourself is to go and get fitted for a bra- I never got fitted before and I was wearing a 46 C - I well I'm one month post op and despite only losing 18 pounds my first month ( current weight 105) ( surgery weight 223) (highest weight 265- which is when I got the bras) I decided to go reward myself I was wearing a 46c and I'm actually a 38 FFF now and let me just tell you with these new bras my body takes a whole new shape and my clothes have never looked better ! Plus it's the vs semi annual sale so treat yourself Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Does anyone regret surgery

I also had post op complications I had to sit at the cancer center every day getting infusions for four hours and it usually ended up being closer to five- by the time they got me back and got my iv in and all that and the cancer center was two hours away so I spent nine hours a day away from my house and kids for two weeks until o could properly get in fluids and I also was in the hospital for five days on top of those 14 days Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Does anyone regret surgery

I'm a little over one month post op and honestly on my diet before surgery I lost 42 pounds - that was my one month ore op diet and here I am 1 month post op and only lost 18 pounds---- I feel like the surgery sent my body into shock and I'm eating entirely less since surgery and dropping way less weight- I too feel like if I could loose 40 pounds in a month before surgery by eating the way I should I would still be doing well and much more successful than I am now due to all the trauma and shock to my body- Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
