  3. Also oh my goodness I'm posting a lot but does yalls doc do a print out to break down your weight loss- that's helpful for me especially when I had the week I only lost a pound :/ of the 18 pounds I lost on the scale my fat mass dropped 18.5 pounds I gained some Water fat free mass and Protein mass- so these stalls might be our bodies catching up and while the big number isn't moving your fat mass is still going down- the week I lost one pound on the scale my fat mass went down by 5 pounds sondespote the small number seeing the other parts helped me to keep going Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. For those asking about working out I asked yesterday at my four week post op about starting couch to 5k because I signed up for a huge 5k in the area that's in mid march- it's an 8 week program the app I have and inneed to start this week coming up to complete it in time to be ready for the 5k my dr told me just to make sure I'm more towards the higher end of my calorie goals the days I train or do extensive exercise The calorie goal set forth by my dr for me is 800-1000 so on strenuous workout days I need to be between 950-1000 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. @banks601y. That's amazing to heard your insulin use age has been cut on half- one of my very good friends is type one diabetic she has stayed pretty skinny tho so I'm not sure how much she uses but she in general struggles a lot to maintain good sugar levels - congrats to you for taking the plunge to do something for yourself and your health Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. @rbaertsch. My bmi is 35 point something so I totally under the slow loss and how hard it is seeming everyone just drop weight and have these amazing numbers while I'm over here like hmmm week 2- week 3 I lost one pound and week 3-4 I lost four pounds - those were two weeks where no matter how well I followed the diet nothing every made my home scale move- o see my dr weekly and he weighs me and the weight loss for the weeks posted are from his scale that also breaks down body fat ect- We need to remember sleeve weight loss is also slower than gastric bypass too- I'm the only sleeve of the people who had surgery the same week I did and go to the same appointments and nutrition classes ect as me so it's super frustrating - but they are also 80-100 pounds bigger than me so that could be a reason Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Spouse issues ?

Well this is his time off he goes back to work in one week about ten days actually and I know he does like to indulge and gain weight when he is off because he usually drops about 20 in the 3 months he away working because the hours are long and it's a highly physical and active job - It feels like he doesn't want me to succeed but at the same time I know it's just what we used to always do sonthjs is an adjustment for him as well- we went out to habachi right after surgery and I just didn't eat we went a few other places till and I just didn't eat and that seemed tonmake him uncomfortable but when he's away he doesn't get that so I didn't wanna take it from him/ I have very good self control and my surgery weight was 223 so I don't have nearly as much as some to loose and the loss is slower as well because of that so I'm super driven to nkt cheat since I'm working super hard to drop weight compared to others on my local support group who are high 200s and 300s Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Spouse issues ?

This is something he's always done - usually gets me a Reese and him a snickers ect - I partially think he does it because he doesn't wanna feel guilty for the gas station trips so if he buys me something too he kinda doesn't feel guilty lol- It's weird- I know he is a little worried about me loosing weight/ the way he works he is gone for three months at a time and I think he's worried what he might come back to Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Stall [emoji15]

I was the seventh and just about to post this exact same thing - I had lost 14 pounds at two weeks post op ( I started at 223 so the slower loss is expected ) and haven't lost a single pound from week two to week three. I've heard of the three week stall but I too was so used to watching the scale go down - I'm still on purée and was on liquids for two weeks- all I've had so far in the purée stage is cream of chicken and mashed potatoes one time and an egg one time ( I couldn't even finish half the egg) so I haven't "cheated" per say - this sure is annoying to say the least- I was hopeful to see a one on the scale for the new year and at this rate I'll be lucky to even loose a pound :/ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Ahhh- many moments ! But when i turned 27 and got on the scale and realized I weighted more than I did at 40 weeks pregnant with my 8 month old I knew I needed to change - how was I 20 pounds over my weight when I was admitted to have the baby!?! I thank God I don't have any health related issues due to being obese - but getting ready to round out 30 I knew they weren't far off. I too miss being able to run into a store and just grab a large or even extra large and it fit- my husband always wants me to shop for myself and I never do - he doesn't understand that nothing fits ! Also my husband is in the military so constantly being surrounded in a community where fitness and health is such an important aspect I feel like being obese is almost an insult to my spouse and the hard work he does and the fact he's dedicated his life to serving and committed to staying fit. Lastly - just being too tired to even play with my children - on top of the constant moving around with the military we have no family around so there are no breaks from the kids or weekends with the grandparents - if something would happen to me I can't even fathom who would care for my babies . 12/7/16 gastric sleeve

@@Dknal2 I'm not 100% sure what ppm means but it has something to do with muscle mass which they don't want you losing quickly because it is hard to gain back - and ffm is fat free mass- My dr said goal is to lost 75% fat mass to 25% fat free mass ( clearly as you lose you will get naturally smaller hence the ffm going down) Last week my fat mass lost was only one pound over my fat free mass lost and my ppm was down a pound - which is rapid also When my dr does my weight I get a breakdown of a ton of stuff - total body Water ect is included so I know where my weight is being held Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I used to be a big drinker when working it- I'm just under three weeks post op and find myself not working out to full potential because I can't seem to get enough Water in during my workout to push harder ( uses to drink 32 oz for an hour of cardio - 2 mile 5.0 run , 20 minute elliptical, 20 minute stair master ) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    12/7/16 gastric sleeve

@@Dknal2 that's an amazing weight loss! My dr has me come weekly for the first six weeks post op and he said my weight loss was pretty rapid and he wanted to see it slow down because I'm loosing ppm and ffm a little to rapid:/ you are kicking butt tho! I was hopeful to see a one on the scale for the new year but I'm sitting steady at 207 and I've been warned of the three week stall- so I guess I'll get there eventually when I get there lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
