So while I realize many of the things I've come to love food and habit wise will become a distant memory once I'm post op.... however.... am I doomed to a life of artificial sweetener forever? I'm not sure that I want to pump my system full of that crap for the rest of my life. This isn't to say that I want to have coke and kool-aid and pie as my diet staples . But things like a little no-sugar added all fruit spread, or a fruit popsicle without added sugar or fake sugar... how can Splenda be "better" for this healthy lifestyle than something sweetened with a pear . I guess my main question is, months down the line, are you still strictly fake sugar or do you regain a little normalcy at some point happy Llama sad Llama... big fat mama Llama.

Try making a Protein pop, freeze a shake or some of the Isopure juice type drink happy Llama sad Llama... big fat mama Llama.

Try idealfit, they're cake batter, chocolate etc are pretty tasty. Very sweet tasting though so you might have to cut it with something happy Llama sad Llama... big fat mama Llama.

I had my 1st 2 of 3 appointments (medical and nutrition next is excersize physiology on Dec 1) I've gone to 1 of the 2 required monthly meetings. I'm scheduled in the next 6week course starting November 14 Got my blood work done And going for upper gi tomorrow. Maybe it's a blood sugar thing? My husband isn't diabetic and he's not a big sweet eater anyway but some days he gets really light headed and almost panicked looking and I'll grab a cookie or something sweet on hand and be fine in a minute or two. I thought he was just hungry at first but this has happened even after I just made him a big dinner. It doesn't really make a lot of sense, it jus is. Maybe try to find low calorie sweet things and chase the main food with it, it's not ideal but it keeps you losing and not puking, it's worth it. I've come to find out that just because someone has that MD tag after their name does not mean they always know everything, or hell, even anything other than plain text book cases . I can't tell you how many times a doctor has brushed me off or told me xyz is because you smoke (I quit a while ago) they don't want to think, and your problem made them think lol.
