My evaluation is in 2 days. I know every one is a bit different but, what types of things did they ask you? I've never had my head shrunk before lol

Just wanted to update, I was scared for nothing. As usual lol! It went well she approved me and sent over her opinion and that's it lol
-
I wish I knew that was an option, I'm nervous and to top it off its not really close so I have to leave at like 7 am. Lol
-
Let us know how it goes!!

Me too... like today. Haha!!

Good luck! I'm more nervous for this tomorrow and whatever other things they may ask me to do even though this should be the last, than I am about the damn surgery! Although of course that scares m too lol. I don't have any eating disorders or emotional trauma, so hopefully she will be OK.

Sleeved in December and I feel amazing
nh-vsgirl replied to elisa_rose's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really needed to read this today ! Congrats, I'm so happy for you -
Ever since I decided to get WLS, I've been leaning toward the sleeve over bypass. Main reasons being I'm scared of the malabsorbtion and dumping. But... now that I'm closer to the end I'm wondering if the sleeve is the right choice,I'm not one that eats a crazy amount of food in a sitting. It seems like the sleeve is more aimed at smaller portions as a tool where the bypass really changes how you eat? I know it's up to me how I eat, but the bypass seems more restrictive. Thoughts? Stats: female 35, highest weight 253 current 242.

My Dr doesn't submit your starting weight for approval buy what you weigh right before they are ready to submit for approval. Which sucks because I'm 40.1

Looks like March 2 for my sleeve!!!!
nh-vsgirl replied to ladygg1967's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Woo!! That's awesome! -
Also no comorbs
-
Has anyone ever started the process and delayed a few months before completing? I'm wondering if that would even be possible, as of now I'm half way through yhe required 6 week lifestyles change class, up to date on appointments, my next exercise apt isn't even until march 1 so it's not like they can even schedule me until then (which suks because I thought I'd be getting surgery in Jan) Anyway. Do you think I'd have to restart the whole process if I waited a couple months? happy Llama sad Llama... big fat mama Llama.

Does anyone have Harvard Pilgrim (health plans inc)
nh-vsgirl posted a topic in Insurance & Financing
I can't seem to find any one with this unsurance who's had a sleeve. I'm in NH which is one of the state's where it's required that employers offer the bariatrics in the insurance, so that's a bonus. I checked on the ins Co website and it IS covered, looks like the norm, 35 with comorbids, 40 without. I'm 40, without. But that's it, it doesn't go into any detail about requirements , any one have any idea? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
