    At my plateau

I'm seven months post-op. While I'm happy to have lost 44 pounds, I've been stuck since January. I'll lose a pound or two, then gain a pound or two. I know two other people who've had the same surgery and are also at their plateau. Has anyone else gone through this? What did you do to break it? I need to lose another 20 pounds, at least. I'm so frustrated! I've even started working out. Nothing. Sent from my SM-T810 using BariatricPal mobile app

  3. I'm 4 weeks post-op. I'm looking for ideas on what I can eat. NUT suggested very soft broccoli, sweet potato since I had really bad issues with constipation. The broccoli does NOT sit well in my stomach. I can eat a scrambled egg, soft cheeses (but trying to stay away), butternut squash Soup, meatloaf (very tender) and tuna. Now I'm bored with those. I'm returning to work on Monday but wondering what I should pack for Breakfast and lunch. Any suggestions, please? Sent from my SM-T810 using the BariatricPal App

    Ideas, please?

I am taking a stool softener AND Miralax (every other day). I cut down on the Protein through drinks but make up the difference in food. I make sure to get a few cups of just Water in between. I had been eating the ricotta bake and eating soft cheeses. I think that's how the problem started. Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. I'm going food shopping now. ) Sent from my SM-T810 using the BariatricPal App

    Ideas, please?

Thank you for your suggestions! I have no problem getting in my Protein, though my NUT told me to lower it since constipation is a problem. I'm still able to get 50 grams in as well as at least 64 ounces of liquids. My problem is that some foods sit like a lead weight in my stomach and I'm just not comfortable. I'll try egg salad. Not my favorite, but better than nothing. Sent from my SM-T810 using the BariatricPal App

    Heartburn!

Thank you, thisisthenewme. Nice to know that even PPIs don't always work. This is the first time it's bothered me since I was in the hospiral. Sent from my SM-T810 using the BariatricPal App
  9. I woke at 3 am this morning with really bad heartburn. I take prescription meds for heartburn but I guess they no longer work. I had my surgery Sept. 26. Anyway, I tried elevating my head but that didn't help. I ended up sleeping upright on the couch. It eventually went away but came back about an hour ago. I got in my Protein drinks but I'm so thirsty! I'm sorry to be so graphic, but I feel like I'm about to puke acid. I see my doctor for my two week follow up on Tuesday. But what can I do in the meantime? Any suggestions please? Is this normal? Sent from my SM-T810 using the BariatricPal App

    Heartburn!

Yes. I made some Butternut squash Soup (no dairy) and have ricotta cheese. I eat tiny meals of either the soup or the cheese. Sent from my SM-T810 using the BariatricPal App

Day 7 it gets better hang in there !

Day seven for me also and I went for my real first walk alone. I will say I felt a little light-headed but took it slowly and made it back home safe and sound. I will add that yesterday was the first time for "real food" for me. I made a Butternut Squash Soup from a recipe I found on here. My plan was to make it for when I was ready. I couldn't resist. I'm happy to say I was able to eat it, a half ladle at a time and with a baby spoon. It was so delicious! And I felt so much better after getting something other than Protein drinks.
