Weight loss at 4 Months
Squirmals replied to mylastchance21's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
No they weren't. She, the nurse, told me if I'm getting my fluids. She said to follow up with my GP. I am a nurse, i was a bit concerned but was thinking clearly ( a bit foggy) and peeing ok so thought I would watch it. I was weak, lost it trying to fold a sheet. But Drs worry about poor turn out with there surgery. If I see my GP, they aren't associated with issues with the surgery. -
Weight loss at 4 Months

My Dr was disappointed. I lost 30.1% but they expected 40% in 3 months. When I got home it really bothered me and I realized my appointment was at 2 1/2 months so I sent them a message reminding them of the fact. I am down 53 lbs at 3 1/2 months, which is greater than 50% at this point. I have a feeling it doesn't matter to the Dr. Its all about their statistics, their numbers. They don't really care what we've lost or what's going on with us as long as it looks good for them. I mentioned my heart rate was 40-50s and BP was 70 & 80s. They said as long as I was getting my fluids I will be fine. Grrr -

December 13 is growing closer. Went to my pre op appts yesterday to get my ducks in a row. My Dr stated the full liquid diet is just to start my reprogramming so it's not a big shock after surgery. I start the diet next Tuesday. I did liquids the last two days to get my toes wet. Getting excited. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I've wondered. I am always swallowing air when I drink from a glass. I threw all my straws away to get use to drinking without prior to surgery, but I seem to gulp air with my sips of Water. Guess I will find out post op. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

I am getting excited and then begin to worry to much. At times I tell myself I can do this without the surgery but...NOT! I loose then gain, story of my life. I am at an age that being heavy puts my life at danger from many other diseases. I am glad I get to do Thanksgiving. My daughter leaves for Japan just after Christmas so this allows me to Celebrate one last time the old way. The next time I see her I will have had time to work on the new me. I am interested in going on this journey with everyone in this group. It'll be nice to have the support, the woes me's to yippys! Let the fun begin!!

Shingles occurs only on one side of the torso, on nerve tracks. You won't see it across both sides of stomach. It can be one side of stomach and around to your back . Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
