My surgeon and the facility was 1 1/2 to 2 hours away depending on traffic. They didn't change anything due to my location. If you are serious about the surgery you will make the commitment and the drive. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

The same thing happened to me. I was told that the stress of the surgery and the blood thinners could have triggered it. My period lasted a full 12 days. I am to see if I have another one in November and to contact my gyn. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App -
I hadn't had a period in over a year. 2 weeks after my surgery I started my period with a vengeance and it lasted 10 days. I was told to watch this and then check in with my gyn. My surgeon said the blood thinner along with the stress my body went through with surgery could trigger it but he hadn't had anyone start their period after not having one for a year. 51 here and had RNY on September 19th. I am having issues with finding a Protein shake I can drink. Everything seems too sweet now and I am struggling to get them down.
