I am almost three months post op. I thought this would be an issue during the holidays. Instead it was great practice to take tiny bites and eat slowly. I didn't finish first and found I was far more engaged with people around me. I was designated driver which everyone appreciated Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -

Alcohol with depression meds is a no no. Alcohol post op is a no no. Call the psychiatrist and be honest about your use and your behaviors. Take care of yourself. Your choices are the only thing you can control. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -

Tricare is different based on standard or prime and different again by region. I was bmi 35 with two comorbidities. Insurance required psych eval, 6 months supervised weight loss program. Tricare Prime West. Approved within two weeks of completing surgeons requirements. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -

Traveling 1 week after Sleeve?
elisa5150 replied to Ms. Misty's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm two months post op and I wouldn't try a 12 hour road trip now. I absolutely could've been home alone, and would've loved it, at one week post op. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App -
Julie, I too have changed my relationship to food (and many other things) due to my daughter's severe autism. Shes 16 now so these changes are ingrained in my functioning. It requires creativity but does not hinder my journey. It limits some snack and Protein options but I don't mind. When I required the sf products most was in my first month, in particular the two week full liquids. I chose things she would have no interest in so I could limit my exposure and not risk hers. This can be done but I would consult a nutritionist with biomedical treatment knowledge. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

You likely shouldn't be eating salad. Takes up a lot of of room without adding protein. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Best decision I ever made. I was skeptical even during the process of being approved. My favorite part is that it works but my choices determine my success. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
