Looking for January 2017 sleevers
ShinyLady replied to Destiny Vavrosky's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey I'm Stephanie I'm also on the 18th where are u getting yours? Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App Hi Stephanie, I'm in Australia. Pretty excited now. One week to go. -
So last night I was snuggling up to hubby and he turned away slightly... I asked him what's wrong and he said softly, "Maybe you should brush your teeth." But I just had. I said eagerly, "Do I have bad breath?" He hesitated and then said, "Yes, it's pretty awful but I didn't want to say anything coz I love you." I said "But that's WONDERFUL news. Sooo exciting!" He looked at me like I was crazy (maybe I am) I explained that I had been worried that I was doing something wrong because I don't feel lethargic, hungry, no headaches and only mild tummy pains (since horrible tummy pains and nausea on Day 3 - I'm now day 6 Optifast). He then said it had been "a bit off" the last few days :/ LOL Does anyone know how long the bad breath lasts? I know it is a side effect of ketosis which happens due to very reduced carbs, but this would also be the case post-op... for months. Does the bad breath continue or does the body adjust? Thank you

@@lowbmi65 - Thank you so much for your message. You're so right. My hubby went to Singapore last month (on the way to Vietnam) it was the same flight time as Sydney is. We are so far away from everyone up here. There isn't even a support group up here. (Physical one, I mean.) Pretty isolated. I haven't been to Singapore yet. My mother and daughter both want to go there with me... for shopping. Have you been there a while? How wonderful it will be to buy a pretty dress for Xmas next year. Yes, indeed. And maybe pretty shoes too. Glad to hear you're going well. Two months tomorrow? Are you back on solid foods yet? -

rose1504 - Hi Rose Thank you so much for the good wishes. It's great to hear you are still happy with what you've done, down the track. How wonderful for you! I did buy a ladies size 3XL (about a size 18, I think) pretty purple, biggest size off the rack, ladies' suit to gaze at. Can't wait 'til I fit into it. And one day... if I try really hard... it might be too big! -

@@OzRoo - Hi there Thank you for the welcome. Yes, the January surgery is like the New Years's resolution on steroids, isn't it? So many times that resolution was to lose weight, it's been a long time since I believed that I might actually achieve it. Darwin sure is humid right now. So thankful I live in an air-conditioned world. We're heading down to SE Qld just after Christmas. I'm so hoping to get into some non-croc infested waters. I see you're around 8 months yourself. How are things going for you? -
@@gustavio That's wonderful news! Congratulations! Go you!

@ After laughing hysterically for some time at your "Sausage kicked my ass..." comment (I've had a hard day, lol), I strolled on over to check out your profile to find discussions about roid rage, dropping your pants and being butt-less. Seems you are the butt of quite a few jokes. Thank you for brightening my day and many congrats on the new jeans and work attire. Awesome job. Ps. I hope that witch hazel did the job coz roids are a pain in the... (been there, had surgery, worse than childbirth, lol) -
@@Dashofpixiedust8 The picture is not weird. The picture is AWESOME! This made me "happy tear-up". I'm so pleased for you. Congratulations on your efforts and results. Just wonderful.

My surgery is tomorrow morning!
ShinyLady replied to Miss Rachel's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good luck Miss Rachel (and staff) You're right on the edge of a fantastic journey to health and happiness. It's okay to be nervous. Instead of thinking about what's gonna happen tomorrow, write a list of all the things you are going to be able to do one day in the future (mine includes things like taking a bath, seeing my collar bones, kneeling on the floor, going shopping for fun...) and imagine your new self. Go to your happy place. The drugs are just around the corner Best wishes xx -
