Long Island here too. 15 hrs post-op though. If u wanna start early phase 1 meal in every couple of weeks. It might make transition easier to all liquids -
Any October 2016 Sleevers?

Walk around a lot. Try to burp. It eases the pains. I was starving but I think it was actually a mental thing considering I still can even drink something till I get GI series. Feeling thinner already. There'll be extra room on the losers bench considering we won't be there long. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App s Doing great. My nurse just left from checking me out. She apparently stepped in /mdninwas in there. Still groggy/foggy. Looking forward ddto being home. Gas pains are going pretty good. Just settling in under my shoulder. Cat napping got me up after two hours of sleep. So far so good!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Jesus loves you!!! Gotta walk around every 2hs (to help gas movement) and inhale on the whatever it's called. I'll get better rest when I'm discharged, hopefully in another 12 hrs. dinner. I usually eat a decent Breakfast and try to make lunch the biggest meal, giving the rest of the day to attempt to burn it off. Which made breakfast the second meal to replace. Seemed to work for me dropped 20-25lbs before pre-op diet. Sent from my SM-G360T using the BariatricPal App -

liquid diet is not bad. Started replacing 1 meal with liquid in July(+ 48-64 oz water), after initial meeting with Dr.. Went to 2 meals inn August and 3 in mid-Sept. this way the transition to all liquids was easier. Something to consider. I think the brutally hot weather during those months aided my Water consumption. -

i think you'll be ok i was on chantix and a nicotine patch but only needed it for week. i wound up chewing gum like a maniac.
-
as long as u dont smoke you should be ok. you will probably get blood tested and will know your results by the time pre surgical testing is done
-
no but i was blood tested for Carbon monoxide. has to be 4 or less. the worry is blood clots
-
Freaking out. surgery is in six days. contemplating if this is the right decision.
-
I am grateful for everyone here who offers support for one another. if we cant do it alone, let's do this together!
