I know you have all heard it all before...
Alistmurf posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon has me on a very strict are op diet. 3 protein shakes a day and up to 250 cals of selected veggies. I'm on day 7 and I was doing so good. I thought I was strong enough to make a nice dinner for my family. Well I ended up eating a small kids bowl of lasagna. How screwed am I? I still have a mother week, but do would it still affect my liver? Please no harsh comments like I should have more will power, bla bla bla. I already feel bad enough ???? -
I'm looking to get sleeved from Dr. Cobourn at Smartshape. Has anyone been sleeved by him? Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

Any succesful vegans or vegetarians
Alistmurf posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm wondering if there are any succesful vegans or vegetarians. If so how does your diet look and do you have issues getting in your protien? I just watched food choices on Netflixand it was eye opening. -
I'm wondering if anyone had issues with husbands and in laws not being supportive. My husband was on board until his mother got involved and now he forbids it. I'm wondering if anyone went along with their decision even without the support? Did they come around after? I'm really stressed and bummed out. I need to hear some simular stories and how they panned out. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

I'm just wondering how you were after surgery looking after your young kids? I have a year old and an 8 year old. Just wondering how exhausted and in pain you were. My Dr said I can pick my 27 lb baby up after survey as well. Sent from my HTC One M9 using the BariatricPal App

How was the travel after your surgery? I will also be traveling home after surgery. It will be day 3 for me also so I'm just curious how the plane ride was for you.

The clinic I'm going to told me about a nurse program that you pay them per hour. They will pick you up from the hospital and stay with you at your house or hotel for however long you need. It's supper helpful for out of town patients. That's the route I'm going since I have to travel so far. Just in case anyone else is having the same sort of issues I was having. Maybe that's something they can look into.

Just need to vent to people that might actually understand what I'm going through. I have a surgery date finally after putting my foot down to people who were against it. It just seems like every time I get one step ahead something always happens. I just feel so defeated and feel like it's just not going to happen or it wasn't meant to be. I know this surgery will be a game changer for me. I just wish I didn't have so many negative people impacting my happiness about it. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

I booked my surgery for January 26th. I want to thank you all for your positivity and helping me realize that it's no one's decision but my own. I'm really excited about this step and I can't wait to start my new healthy lifestyle. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

I'm going to Toronto for my surgery and I'm curious how many of you would have been able to go shopping and explore after surgery? My surgery is on the 18th and I have to stay the night in to hospital then I have to stay in town till the 21st. I really don't want to be cooped up in a hotel while I'm in a new city. Some of us adults respect the opinions of our loved ones. Having support is a lot easier then not having it at all. You don't need to be rude. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

Isn't it the worst. Us doing nothing about our weight is the easy way out. Surgery is not easy at all. Watching other people eat what they want is not easy. And cooking for your family something you can't have is not easy. My mother in law says the same thing. She tells me I should go to the gym everyday. Some people just can't lose the weight. It's not like we haven't tried. Gets me so mad! Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

I'm going across country and need someone to check me out of the hospital. My mom was suppose to do it but now wants to drive over 2 hours after I'm out of the hospital to visit family. I don't think it's possible because I'll be in pain and want to be close to the surgeon but she thinks I'll be fine. My husband also doesn't agree with it. I haven't told many just my very close family and I haven't had the reaction I was hoping for. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App
