February Sleevers -- Let's Do This Together

Day Two of Liquid Diet, Surgery the 28th, Family ate normal food tonight, The smell... oh I was so starving so I opted to clean while they ate. Lol I had a Smoothie King Protein Shake that was ok, my premiere shakes are way better, lol and cheaper. The Choc Gladiator with no fruit added is like 180 calories 0 carbs and 1 gram of sugar for 20 oz , FYI if your out and forgot your shake like I did...been off work 6 days, back at it tomorrow, which I am trying to plan ahead, I am a Trauma ICU nurse and coworkers always bring in bad food....[emoji23] -

[emoji256] so they are letting you eat meals other than liquid protein. That's awesome.

Dang, well this was planned perfectly, I have started my doctors strict preop diet today. Surgery Day Feb 28th. Well so much for all the "bad" Vday goodies out there. Lol Plus side family; my hubby and two kiddies ( boy 13, girl 8) are totally on board, So normal vday would have been spent with tons of candy, and going to dinner somewhere. Well , guys not tonight, this girl is having a smoothie and we are all going to go to beach for a night time walk. Instead of candies I have suggested A few other things to hubby that doesn't involve food... To be continued...

Careful taking pain meds this far out...It can cause a blockage in your bowel...I would request seeing your surgeon, not PA...I have seen many PA in my line of work...brush stuff off as normal and it cost people dearly.. ฯฯฯฯฯJessฯฯฯฯฯ

You know myself going into to this...I couldn't decide which surgery to choose..Yesterday, I met with my Surgeon..my Consult and I also stated to him I was hell bent on bypass and not the sleeve..(Been debating this surgery for 5 yrs)...He began by saying ok...So I perform both...make about the same on both procedures...But I must know "Why the bypass over sleeve?", So this is where I began with oh...you lose more faster..Yeah...well this is where he pulled out the current statistics on me...lol I felt stupid and uneducated...He also stated he likes the sleeve..less complications down the road..thus far..and if it was a family member of his..He would say the same..Sleeve..So by the end of the conversation, I wasn't as informed had I originally thought and no matter which surgery I do undergo in Feb..I will have a better understanding about by tools to decide which will work best for me.. ฯฯฯฯฯJessฯฯฯฯฯ
