What gets me is, when someone says “you’re not that big you shouldn’t go through with it”. Then I say oh really where you got your degree at because if my PCP & surgeon say I can benefit from it I am good, and I guess the insurance company just like to spend money but okay.

Oh dear. I am so lucky to have a supportive husband. You do what is best for YOU. And if you don't get support from him, find it everywhere else you can. Like here! My mom is my biggest supporter, although she would prefer I not go through with it, she is still supporting me so much so she is doing the pre op diet with me, my mom is 5’6 140 pounds so she’s doing it to show her support for me I just love her.

My BMI is 37.9 I am 5’6 235. I have obstructive apnea sleep I use a Cpap, and I have high blood pressure on 4 meds. I have completed my psychological evaluation, EGD, 90 day supervised diet and got my PCP clearance and the letter for cardiac clearance My question is how likely would it be for Cigna to approve me on the first try.

Not medically optimized
mstrice replied to mstrice's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@ShelterDog64 The exercise prescription is be easy, I just need to walk for 30min 3-4 a week for two weeks. Thanks for your reply -
My CPET test result: Findings of your surgical pre-screening via the CPET test have indicated an intermediate risk factor for Bariatric Surgery. This is indicated by a low exercise capacity/tolerance. Simply, this means you are not medically optimized to undergo an elective procedure. Below is a list of the options for proceeding to surgery ______ Two weeks of a moderate intensity exercise program prior to surgery I agree to follow the attached exercise guidelines to improve my cardiovascular function for two weeks prior to surgery I understand that if I do not follow the exercise guidelines, I will be at a higher risk for perioperative complications ______ I will follow up with a cardiologist of my choosing to discuss pre-screening results and determine what, if anything, is needed for me to proceed with surgery A letter of clearance with the indication of low/moderate/high risk for surgery will be required from the cardiologist I checked the two week of a moderate intensity exercise. They also give me an exercise prescription, so my question is has anyone done this before, and if so how did it work out.

I have been told that the blood pressure medication that I take now, that I will no longer need to take any after the sleeve, So is there anyone who has stopped taking any kind of medication after your sleeve. -
They just call me give me my results. I will have to do two weeks of a moderate intensity exercise program prior to surgery. Everyone had to do this; if so was you clearance after the two week

It was the (MET Test) Cardiopulmonary Stress Test
