I had gastric sleeve surgery September 13th. I'm a 45 yr old male 5 ft 8 inches started at 285 pounds. All my health test came back great. I too have sleep apnea... I am clearly a food addict. If you pursue surgery it is not the solution for us addicts..it is a tool. I am combining my surgery with counseling and support group. Hope this helps. It has been approximately 15 days since I had sleeve surgery. I have noticed a significant issue with falling and staying asleep. I am up and down practically all night long and still have significant amount of energy in the morning by evening around 7 p.m. I turn into mr. Hyde. Very irritable and very low tolerance for frustration....I feel really bad for my wife and kids. is this normal? is anyone else having sleep issues post sleeve surgery like this? You are telling my story with the exception that I was approved and had surgery on September 13th. Pre surgery: I am a 45 year old male 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighed in at 285. I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea 3 years ago. With the exception of that diagnosis all of my pre-surgery tests came back very good.
