When I got my 1st fill they had to have me lay down because they said my port was slightly twisted. They tried & tried w/o success. The Dr. said when the port is up near the ribs it can tilt. Lying flat on my back allowed my port to lie flat also & then they were able to do the fill.

A BMI of 32.1, was approved for surgery in Mexico. The lowest? I am not sure.

I am also glad I read this thread. I have been wondering about the reflux & GERD thing. I also get very sick if I drink water before going to bed. I am excited to think I may not need to take these meds after I have my surgery 3/19/08. I think I will try going off the meds very slowly, as I have been on them for years.

I was told my Doctor did not require a pre-op diet unless a patients BMI was 45 or greater. I called because I had heard so many others commenting on their pre-op diet experiences. My surgery date to get banded 3/19/08.

I appreciate your comments so far. I am interested in what you found out when you checked out the surgeons.

So which Dr's would you recommend in Mexico? :thumbup:
