Thank you for posting this.. I am on day 3 of pre-op, but I am going to make this and freeze it like you did. Plus, I know my DS would love it also. I may have to make a double batch just in case [emoji6]

Anyone here just waiting for approval?
Winky7650 replied to shortyp79's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have FEPBLUE also, and I had to do a sleep study. I am not sure if it was an insurance requirement or surgeon requirement. My file was submitted on a Wednesday morning, and I called that afternoon just to verify that it had actually been sent. I was told that the file was received and I was approved in under 3 hours. Even my surgical team was shocked at the quick turnaround. -

I have been on Wellbutrin for 3+ years. The first 6 weeks it caused nausea and I had problems eating. After I got used to it, I think it has caused weight gain. The only one that caused me to lose weight is Cymbalta. I am still pre-op though (surgery 4/17), I don't know what the effects will be after.

I don't think it is ridiculous at all, I am the same way when it comes to speaking to strangers on the phone. But, for me the need to know became greater than my fear of calling. I found out I was approved on Friday, and my surgeon's office wasn't notified until Tuesday (yesterday).

Have you tried contacting your insurance company? I found out I was approved by calling.. 3 days before my surgeon's office was notified. I know the waiting game at the end is frustrating! Good luck!

I just found out I was approved and my surgery is scheduled for April 17th. I was really shocked that my approval only took about 24 hours [emoji15]. Now it is getting real! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

BariatricPal Policy Reminders – Everyone Please Read!
Winky7650 replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Rants & Raves
EVERY SINGLE POSTER, without exception, who have defended Alex's decisions have joined within the past 6 months. If that doesn't speak volumes about the type of member being courted by this site I don't know what would. Veterans who have met goal do not spend $$ in the store, or support recommended surgeons/healthcare facilities (Medical Tourism). Gone is the experience the veterans so freely shared. Sure, their advice was not always rainbows and unicorns, but it was truthful. Some of us do NOT want coddled, we want help on this journey. We want information that can ONLY come from those that have lived it! Although this is my first post, I have been lurking, reading & researching for over a year.
