I am currently pre op and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on November 30, 2016. I have been going through this process for almost 2 years now and it is becoming real! I went ahead and began taking multi-vitamins, added vitamin D supplements and biotin, and am working on getting mentally prepared for my upcoming journey by seeing a therapist.
I have many questions and was so happy to find Bariatric Pal. I live alone though my family lives nearby but feel I am going through this process by myself as no one truly understands just how much the extra weight affects me. I feel like I've found a good forum here.
I have always been an outgoing person and have a great sense of humor. My job consists of long shifts and is sedentary (911 supervisor) and I also work a second job dispatching an ambulance company.
Still single, married once a long time ago, and still hoping to get myself where I want so desperately to be through weight loss surgery and an attitude adjustment. The extra weight keeps me in hiding and I want to break free of the burden and live the second chapter of my life!
My anxiety at the moment is what to expect right after surgery as I've heard the first month is the toughest.
