I am three weeks out tomorrow and can tell you that once you get to the purée, cottage cheese, refried Beans, yogurts, etc. you will feel much better. I now eat something, 4 oz or less every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I'm mostly hungry first thing in the morning but I think it's because of the large number of hours without food. I sip a lot of Water and try to use Protein supplements in the water. There are many flavors available. Good luck, be patient! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Puréed Food Stage
lizardqueen replied to leese1978's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would also recommend 1% cottage cheese and plain Greek yogurt. I add a teaspoon of Polaner's no sugar added jelly. It comes in a few flavors, adds sweetness to cottage cheese or plain Greek yogurt with very little calories and carbs. I also have tuna salad made with low fat mayonnaise and egg salad as well. Polly-O cheese sticks are great too and no carbs. Just chew them well. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

Research has shown that being on a liquid diet helps with preparing the liver for the surgery. The liver has to be moved to get to the stomach, by it being empty, it reduces in size and makes the surgery easier and faster. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
