I'm eating 70-85 grams of Protein a day, under 20 carbs and no sugar. WTH!! Any advice!! Feeling desperate and discouraged. Help! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Small victories!

@@Maddy18 wow I'm jealous! Did you experience any stalls. Cause I had my surgery 6 weeks ago and I haven't lost anything more in the last 2 weeks. I lost 15 pounds the first week and no more weight loss the last 2 weeks. I've had really good responses from people explains why that has happened. So I don't feel so discouraged now. But just wondering, did you monitor carbs, no sugar in sure, or monitor caloric intake? I would love to hear how you did it!! Hungry Every Two Hours

OMG I'm 5 weeks post op and IM ALWAYS HUNGRY!!! If I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and I don't go to sleep right away I can't sleep because of the hunger pain!!!! I asked my surgeon and he said it was normal and better for my metabolism to eat every 2 hours. The most annoying part is that I have to pack a lunch pack every where I go. And the hunger pains are magnified 10 fold! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. Wow! Thank you so much for your post! I agree with you! We have to find what is good for us and what is working for us may not work for others. I also found through these posts that all surgeons give different suggestions as to what to eat during each stage. I love to hear everyone's ideas and suggestions. Thank you for your post! Just loved it! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. Just wondering, can i drink coffee?. I'm on my 5th week Post op. I typically drank it very light. I know that's it's different for people who have had the gastric bypass and I don't know anyone who has had the sleeve Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Messed up

@@LipstickLady perhaps I should have been more specific. Agreed, definitely no seeds. As you can tell my suggestions don't include anything w seeds. But that's the rule of thumb my surgeon gave me. And it worked for me. Blending different foods gave me lots of options especially since I was struggling so much with the whole transition. Help! What to eat?!

Ok this is what I pack for lunch. I make chicken salad and put it in two small containers cause I'm hungry every 2 hours. I take string cheese, babybels and cottage cheese. I take enough to eat every two hours and plenty of Water. I also make fish and pack it up in small containers to eat at least 2-3 times a day for that day. Today I make a chicken enchilada casserole for my family but I made a small one for me without the tortilla. So it was a layer of shredded chicken, a layer of plenty of cheese (Mexican blend), and green enchilada sauce! It was sooo yummy i didn't miss the tortilla. I made enough to pack at least 5 small containers to take for lunch the next two days. Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Hungry or Not?

I wish I had that problem of not getting hungry. For me it got 10x worse. My doctor said its normal because we are eating small amounts so we will get hungry more often. The worse is when i get up to pee in the middle of the night. The hunger pains won't let me go back to sleep. And the hunger pains are magnified too. But on a good note since I'm eating small amounts every 2 hours, that is speeding up my metabolism. I'm losing an average of 3-4 pounds a week and honestly in the 12 weeks of classes I took through Kaiser I never heard of people not getting hungry w the sleeve. We also had to go to support groups and it seems like everyone i met was like me. I guess it's nice to hear everyone has different experiences so you won't be surprised or disappointed on your experiences Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
